  1. Press has completely dropped off since conceding. Need Tonali to drop back a bit to fill that space between our midfield and defence
  2. Commentators creaming themselves over every Man Utd attack. Some things never change apparently
  3. Getting PTSD flashbacks to growing up and dreading these matches because of all the plastic Man Utd fans at school
  4. Glad I’m on the good painkillers at the hospital right now, makes this waaaay more easy to accept
  5. We look calmly up for this. Comfortable out of possession and harrying
  6. The back line looked a lot more comfortable with him coming out to play the ball as well
  7. Think I’m just joining in with the masses here but thought he showed some speed but struggled to put in a decent cross. Was going to call him a rich man’s Obertan but that seemed harsh
  8. Dunno why, but a player offering to take a pay cut AND sign an extension while banned seems positively wholesome in today’s football world. Glad to see we’ve got the best midfielder in the league tied to us for a few more years

Was it Bramble or someone else who seems as dumb?
  10. Pretty sure he wasn’t good from the start for TFC. The games I covered locally, TFC were a mess tactically. That said, TFC are just a mess in general so him leaving for there didn’t make a whole lot of sense in the first place. He‘s definitely the first bit. I first interviewed back when he took over from Carolina Morace with the Canadian women’s team and he had them believing. I think that gets found out at a certain point and you have to have tactical nous to fall back on. I like Herdman as a guy but he’s not up to it tactically for a top role.
  11. Bet his favourite player is Michael Owen
  12. After all the hyping up he did, it’s clearly @The Bonk
  13. I have his drinking problem I freelanced once for the Dallas Morning News and spent the night pretending I was Skip Bayless
  14. Not to derail this too much, but Jays tickets at the start of the 2023 season were like this. People priced out of long held season tickets etc. I hope that doesn’t happen here but it’s the trade off that clubs argue they need to make
  15. I was gonna say, as a former sports reporter this has been the complaint I’ve consistently heard about MLSE. Everything costs much, much more. That being said, the Leafs and TFC are willing to flash the cash for the on-field product obviously just haven’t backed it up with their play
  16. I don’t know if it’s age or a case of having seen this movie before, but feel less pissed off about this than I thought I’d be even just a month ago. Seemed inevitable that rehabilitation into the team wasn’t possible and the whole media statement back-and-forth was just posturing. I feel like I felt worse when Carroll left or one of the other complete embarrassments that happened under Ashley. Obviously, I hope Isak flops with the Scousers cause it’d be funny, and I hope we as a club have taken a lesson away from this in how we approach business moving forward. Protect your best assets with long-term deals or negotiate on your terms, get better at playing the game with the media, and try to use these situations to your advantage. Our conduct in this whole affair seems a bit naive in retrospect. It’d be just like us to take absolutely nothing away from it and sign Guisseppe Rossi on loan again or some shit

No word of a lie: worked with a guy who was the original frontman for Nickelback and got replaced by Kroeger. He’s still bitter about it
  18. Gonna be weird when he keeps trying to shoehorn discussing Man Utd into conversations
  19. As one of the forum’s resident alcoholics, 24/7 drinking had me hanging out in bed watching Netflix while off my face. Putting on pants was hard work let alone leaving the house for going farther than the liquor store. Playing in the PL at an elite level while doing that would be impressive tbh
  20. Arsenal afraid to have someone central in the box
  21. Nearly every attack looks like it’ll end in a goal. Great work from the wingers to exploit the space behind Palace’s fullbacks
  22. Tonali tremendous. First to every breakdown and recycling it smoothly
