Just wait till I show the Buffalo art museum your post history. You’ll never get a photo featured (this is a joke for basically you, me and @OpenC)
  2. I swear I remember a bunch of hedge funds popping up claiming to be interested before Ashley, all with ridiculous names

    MLS

Just to chime in here, BC Place hasn’t really priced them out. The Caps’ owners have been notorious cheapskates for YEARS, especially when it comes to the potential of building a stadium. They’ve only started splashing the cash in the last two years in an attempt to sell the club during the Messi wave of popularity. City council here has also tried to offer a former racecourse property to the club, with the club’s owners playing coy about it. There’s good people working for the club but it’s also been rotten for years. There’s been multiple abuse scandals with the team either downplaying or attempting to hide it.
  4. The site wouldn’t let me upload this until well after it happened but took me a second to figure out where I had seen this fella before
  5. Comfortable so far. Glad to see Big Nick feeling confident and going back to one touches and flicks. Just can’t sit back as we’ve done too often this season.

This will be the interesting thing to see, as I feel this was a major issue for us in 2009. Your revenue should be enough to handle it and you should walk the Championship (famous last words )
  7. Good point tbf, just figured I’d try to get the infant size first
  8. Bit of a reach but anyone willing to pop into the club store to see if there’s any infant kits left? The missus and I are trying to plan a funny way of telling my side that we’re expecting. It’s surprisingly hard to find shopping online from Canada More than happy to pay the price and postage if someone is willing to buy and send one!
  9. Neymar in talks to join MLS, specifically FC Cincinnati. The idea of Neymar wandering around downtown Cincinnati is hilarious to me

I know it’s not the same situation but all the Hall for midfield etc talk is reminding me of the Colo for midfield movement back in the day
  11. Honestly, a much closer half than the score line would suggest. We're not out of this one by a longshot, as long as we can keep that pace up on the counterattack. Gordon lively, Elanga positive and Hall solid.

Looks like he may have lost a yard of pace, but that may be when faced with a much faster opponent. He does do a great job of cutting off space through positioning, which I don’t think we see from Burn
  13. Needs to continue to take his man on, but looked much more comfortable than he has previously
  14. Both teams looked shattered at the end, staff and players alike. What a result to come home from work to
  15. I think I mentioned this before, but I interviewed Taylor for a story once and I don’t think I’ve ever talked to anyone else that dumb
  16. Leaning towards this. I work locally with people who will more than likely get displaced from their living situations or arrested by cops, etc. for the tournament, much like the Olympics. I’ve been chatting with seniors and single parents who are terrified their tenuous living situations will end because their landlords want to make a quick buck. Our municipal and provincial (Canadian equivalent of state) government has completely bent over and spread their cheeks for FIFA for any gifts that come their way as well. I know it should be for moral reasons about the U.S., but seeing the more macro decisions by a local city government has turned me off it more than anything. All that combined with no one I know locally seeming that bothered by the tournament, likely due to ridiculous prices, means this will probably be the first one I check out of.
  17. Fair play to Rosenior if he blags himself the Chelsea gig. Talk about falling upwards
  18. I love the “I don’t really want to talk about it” and then proceeds to lay it all out
  19. The upside of working in the Canadian equivalent of skid row is I always know where to get the good drugs to recover from this if we lose
  20. Upside: my wife let me sit in bed and watch the game as she cleaned ahead of guests coming over tonight. Downside: had to watch that match
