All things being equal we'd run 7th close. Its just a few injuries and were vulnerable with what we have to bring in to replace them.

Slagged him off most of the game (only had the radio on for the first half) -

In the hubbub of the moment I missed the commentary after the goal of "well lets focus on the negative first" in as downcast a tone as possible. Aye lets not focus on the great last minute volley initially cos that would be wrong. Dry your eyes c**t btw Howe and Tindall giving instructions after the goal is proper studious and encouraging -

That's reminscent of our opponents during the Bruce era, I'll give him that. -

Yeah, can see why they're not fond (but at the same time f**k them, they're horrible). Dark arts and counter attacks. -

Very good performance considering what we had out, for all the reactionary stuff when we went behind. Deserved more in the end. Nice to first shut their exceptionally wanky fans up then stick one right up them at the end -

Would be for best. Howe's done great but were scamming by with some of these players. -

Miggy cutting back on to his other foot rather than getting the cross in. benched Wood's fault or the wingers? -

Aye but its not Woods fault that Max doesn't cross not more than its not his fault that Almiron or anybody else doesn't. Just be fair about it. He can win us games but a lot more often than not plays like this. Whether its Wood, Wilson or Carroll -

Criticising Wood okay, but blaming him for ASM's short comings isn't on. He's been a one good game a month player long before Wood arrived. -

I'm judging his contributions to this football club over several seasons. He'll be lucky if his average rating is 5 out of 10 and we need to move on from that. -

The time we never see Longstaff in a black and white shirt again can't come soon enough. I'd like it to be this week. Abysmal is his default, whether its Tranmere, Wolves or whoever. It wouldn't be ruthless ambition just professional -

The manic depression here is a bit much like. We've Targett, Bruno, Shelvey, Wilson injured in a thread-bare squad and a new signing cant play. We've gone behind in a game there's nowt in. Defence apart this is a Bruce team -

Down to our last centre-midfielders. Nowt in reserve now. I say now, nowt in reserve before Bruno/Shelvey were injured tbh -

Even the 1950's is generous. Last trophy was mid 30s. Relegated in 58, 3rd bottom in 57 and 15th in the second division in 59 and 16th the following season. We had bigger attendances the vast majority of the time and when we didn't it was by 1k and won the cup three times that decae. Man United and Wolves winnning the league 3 times in the 50s have decent cause for complaint too.

Gets his defence in first, reminding everyone what a great guy he is, before he shows the exact opposite -
Dunno whether I'd rather loan him to them with a recall clause in case of injury/suspension and forget a fee or insist on a fee and take our chances.

Been wondering the same. When they were both in the PL and a player had a choice - going to Stoke wouldn't have shocked anyone. Yet after being in Div3 for 4years they're a much bigger draw?

Despite being Boro through and through whenever we've crossed swords with Mowbray he's never shown any bile, Woodgate had one or two sneaky little jibes, and dont dislike him at all. Wouldn't say he's a sensible appointment because they had no choice but by necessity he'll be okay if they can cope with someone from Boro getting midtable results.
