  1. Yeah. Keegan killed it more than the PIF. Even the two times they were in the same league we were at complete opposite ends so it wasn't much of a rivalry. We were three divisions apart with Ashley and Bruce ffs. Seen someone say something about Exile jacking in. Wonder why and when that was. One of the recent thrashings, beating Man United so comprehensively, reaching the final or a knock on the door.
  2. And Bournemouth would have been a lot cheaper than both and we'd have been home and hosed weeks ago. No idea how Everton could afford to pay Brighton off with their financial situation or was that just one of those things whilst there's simply no other explanation outside of match rigging for Brighton to lose by a lesser score away from home against a much better team than Everton?
  3. That happens surely. Whatever game anybody thinks the best atmosphere they've ever been in is, it will have have quiet spells.
  4. Aye be nice to enjoy one of these games/days from start to finish instead of having a lingering edge to them
  5. Feel like I can follow the Liverpool - Villa game in a degree of comfort now. But reckon I'll get radge as the dubious decisions mount up
  6. Seen worse "Talk about shitting the bed. And talk about more shit Almiron final third play. Can't wait to upgrade on him." during tonight's match
  7. That Roker Mackem cunt giving it his usual when agitated by our winning "nobody should be watching this" that he gives in every NUFC match thread where he lives, despite not watching the matches.
  8. Pragmatically crucial not to get a red in the end with the injury and suspected injuries as fuck knows what the midfield will be next.
  9. Thoroughly undeservedly back in and the red-cards are back on the boil from a managable situation.
  10. Dominant and deservedly 2-0 up at HT. Discombobulated by the logic of it all
  11. That and the referee. The only flies in the ointment. Neither of our making.
  12. Same. But could be that from when I started going in 89 they've only beat us three times and never at SJP. Always appreciated the healthy ticket allocation and the speed with which you could get back from there.
  13. Reading v Bolton vibes from 95. Don't know if Reading ever had been in the topflight, 70s for Bolton, both meant an extra year of topflight terracing. Both just seemed out of place in the new all-seated big time feeling PL with the foreign stars coming in now. Cracking game too. Like then will be a total neutral.
  14. Aye but in Sunderland's case its only for the 31st time out of 39 seasons.
  15. The 2-0 under Keegan was electric, should have been 5-0 or more. But even Keegan only won that one in four against them and they were all fair results.
  16. Know where you were coming from mate. They've history of sneaking out of all kinda if situations. Man CIty the other year obviously. But think they came back from 5-1 defecits against Monchengladbach twice.
  17. It is like the Milan 5-0 Real 89 semi now. (1-1 first leg in Madrid too) Cruising past Inter in the final like Milan did Steaua wouldn't be a surprise.
  18. Bit of bogey-team too. Which Boro and Coventry definitely haven't been (in the PL era)
  19. It really does aye. From the spate of Norwich, Oxford, Coventry, Luton, Wimbledon winning cups 85-88.
  20. Thought that earlier in the season, way he takes his goals and movement is impressive, always a question mark about moving up a level. Would make a fine 'Mathie' for lack of a better term
  21. Subjected to Reid, Wilkinson, McCarthy, O'Neill, Allardyce and no notable good football between times suddenly become the guardians of total footballing philosophy in much the same way as they found other hitherto undisplayed morals. That 1-2 in 00/01 was the most shameless exhibition of long-ball football I've ever seen in the flesh or on TV. They didn't even try to do anything else.
  22. Still though. 1-1 0-0 and 0-0 after an hour.
