  1. Solid PL managers tend not to add a few signings and take a relegation circling side from 4th and 7th. Ancelotti is a mid-table manager without the right players
  2. Kid Icarus

    Lloyd Kelly

There's definitely more to come from him, you can tell.
  3. Unless you're TBG it's never going to land
  4. *Honestly. I fucking despair. We know what a bad manager looks like. Most of us are old enough to know what a good manager looks like. Some of us are old enough to know what a revolutionary manager looks like. If you don't think Eddie Howe is a shoo-in for the latter, then *
  5. Yeah I've been meaning to say this about our high defensive line. We seem to be a very finely tuned machine. If one part goes, we're fucked

Bit of a weird performance from K.I's visage. Didn't seem like he did much wrong but then we looked much better/coherent when Hall was on.
  7. I don't think that changes anything from what either of us have said tbh. That person has to be Eddie Howe.
  8. I get where you're coming from but don't agree. All of last season with a relatively fit squad we were excellent. Our away form wasn't good but we were never consistently poor and our home form was very good.
  9. It's a fair argument to make, but in terms of risk v reward it was the right approach and we were ridiculously unlucky not to make Europe even after the adversity we overcame. That would have made the needed outgoings much more manageable
  10. While I sooort of agree, all season is still only 5 games. I wouldn't bank on any 5 games at any point, good or bad, to define a season.
  11. If that's what's happening here, for whatever reasons, then it's an unbelievably compressed version of it. He was at Bournemouth for the best part of 12 years. I think we're making a tragic mistake if we're messing with what he's done so far. I'm all for the DoF/Manager model, but Howe was doing it, we had it in our hands, it was working and we look like we're throwing the potential of that away for someone whose best achievement is Spurs coming 3rd in a two-horse race. I already want rid of Mitchell tbh, I'm all in on Howe.
  12. Evidence vs presumption more like. Fucking joke this
  13. I still think a lot think of Howe as the plucky Bournemouth manager who will need to be upgraded and not the manager with the 4th highest points tally in the league since he came here with a side that still needs huge improvements and depth from the relegation circling one he inherited.
  14. Some bits I agree with other bits I disagree with. Don't agree at all that this season is a continuation of last. This year's lack of signings might well be last year's injuries, I agree, but to you those are excuses, to me they're smack-you-in-face season defining and not at all excuses, the transfer window was a joke and massively harmed our progress and the feeling going into this season. Last season our injuries were a joke and you can easily trace a line through our season when we had injuries and when we didn't. Agree about Eales and Mitchell though and I find the idea that the latter should be held in higher esteem and given right of way over Howe to be a joke tbh.
  15. I have to be honest, it really did rub me up the wrong way. Reading the Monaco forum about him played a big part as well. Totally accept that it's mainly intuition based on those two things at this stage. Disagree about the result as well because it's not just that, it's the whole feel of the club at the moment.
  16. I'd have thought having the club you support being owned by Mike Ashley for 14 years would change this opinion mind. Howe will be at worst political about his answers, he's unlikely to give anything away that would make things worse, even if in private he believes it.
  17. Not a believer in atmosphere, poor transfer windows, car crash interviews, and media speculation, and the general feeling around a club affecting results then?
  18. We didn't regularly play like this last season like, especially at full strength. We also overachieved considering the injuries.
  19. Don't even know where to begin, so I'll just start at the end.
  20. Ironically the most 'welcome to N-O' post going. How many times is this same stawman post going to be done? Someone posted about people wanting rid of Howe, and people are allowed to ridicule that just as much as they're allowed to post that in the first place. They're not being stopped from 'discussing things on a forum' because someone else had the audacity to disagree with them and ridicule them.
  21. Cringe, definitely not. Guessing, probably, but if the causation isn't there, the correlation is still un-fucking-deniable
  22. For the first time in 9 attempts.
