  1. Gameweek 15 - deadline Saturday 6th December @ 12.30pm Villa 2 v 1 Arsenal Bournemouth 0 v 1 Chelsea Everton 1 v 0 Forest Man City 2 v 1 Sunderland Newcastle 2 v 1 Burnley Spurs 1 v 1 Brentford Leeds 1 v 1 Liverpool Brighton 3 v 1 West Ham Fulham 1 v 1 Palace Wolves 0 v 2 Man United
  2. Fitting that it's his back considering he never is for long.
  3. Your posts make more sense now I know you didn't even watch it.
  4. I mean, I don't disagree I just think personal autonomy and responsibility are much more important. ie the solution isn't that bullshitters should be silenced, but that people should have the skills to spot bullshitters. Again though, I don't think Tyneside Life is particularly egregious on that front in the grand scheme of things. On SJP he's no different to a lot of the amateur sleuth posts there are on here.
  5. I don't think it's particularly egregious in this case tbh and everyone can take it all with a pinch of salt.
  6. Don't have a problem with those types of videos or the amateur sleuthing etc. I'm all for it. My main and only gripe with Eddie is that he's a cantankerous egomaniac who seems to just want to have his own fanclub and can't seem to handle even the mildest questions without having a meltdown.
  7. His presumption that a 'world class' stadium automatically means only a massive stadium complex on the scale of Atlanta and others will do seems like a bit of a leap.
  8. The last few times I've watched them he's been coming short like he did with us and they just completely ignored both him and the space he'd created in behind. Tonight it was like he'd been told to stop doing that, which begs the question why they signed him when that's his game.
  9. Couldn't give a shit about Sunderland really, so a Liverpool loss or a draw with Judas being absolutely shit is basically only him being injured away from being ideal.
  10. DCL absolutely would have been a good 3rd choice for us like.
  11. It surely has to be. Can't think of anyone that got anywhere near it. What's weirder is that they don't seem that bad, We've seen much worse looking teams than them over the years.
  12. The funniest thing is that I turned it on about 10 minutes in, he got on the ball and the Sunderland fans booed him. I thought that was quite funny considering we despise the cunt, but what's even funnier is that's the last time that he was booed, because that's the last time he was on the ball.
  13. Experts are calling it the first recorded instance of a rat jumping on to a sinking ship.
  14. Our early goal record at this point in the season is better than at this point last season and the one before FWIW. It's not so much early goals for me anyway, it's more that once that first one comes it used to be that we'd sort of cracked the code and would go and do it again. This season it's like we crack the code and immediately change how we play. Isak is a contributing factor for sure, but nowhere near as much as our overall mental attitude imo, it's happened too often to pin it on any one player past or present.
  15. I think it says a lot that you have to go back nearly 3 years to think of his last indisputable clanger before Marseille tbh. 'Keepers will make mistakes and while I do think we need to upgrade, I do think Pope's weaknesses and mistakes are overstated while his strengths are completely taken for granted.
  16. I'm not sure how that add up in terms of us going for a second and a third, mind. I'd get it if we were struggling to get the first, but we're doing that part of it which would suggest that in itself isn't a problem. Once we get that goal though we very noticeably change our approach instead of going hell-for-leather again.
  17. Barnes was by far and away our best attacking player last night and was very good against Everton. Really not sure how you've come to that conclusion about him.
  18. It used to be the case that if we got one, you could hang your hat on us quickly getting one or two more. Why that's stopped being the case when it was so effective and seemingly unstoppable is anyone's guess.
  19. Maybe I've memory-holed it, but there's a huge gap between the obvious mistake in Marseille and Pope's other mistakes that are being a bit overstated in terms of how frequent and bad they were.
  20. I don't get the focus on Ramsey tbh, Howe could have also brought Willock on. Really not sure how much trying to do the opposite of 23/24 is playing its part here, but we don't seem to be getting the balance right. Maybe there's a bit of result bias influencing that feeling though.
  21. There are far too many factors coming in from all angles that chip away at the atmosphere and that collectively result in a shit atmosphere. As long as the club keep prioritising the reason for those factors (revenue) above and at the cost of all else, they'll nurture it and it'll only get worse.
  22. Spells of not having the ball is fine. I don't think we sat back after scoring against Everton either, we kept the pressure on and although they did have a period with the ball after that, the feeling was still very much that we controlled it. It's a marked difference from last night when an absolutely nothing team were still regularly getting corners and we never looked ruthless. In isolation you'd call it a freak result tbh, they were honking and scored from their only 2 shots on target, but the pattern this season is that we're even vulnerable to that, never mind teams that cut through us. Hopefully Wissa changes things. Woltemade's a very good player, but so much hinges on him if like last night he's not playing well.
  23. It seemed to me like the ref didn't give free kicks when he was fouled, but maybe it's more that he needs to bulk up a bit.
