  1. I still back Pope tbh, albeit he was in bad form pre-injury. Agree we need another option though.
  2. Once in years with Pope vs every time there's a cross with Ramsdale
  3. Depends how many times its happened rather than when it last happened surely
  4. No good complaining about other players not being where they should be, while offering nothing then losing your runner.
  5. Down to the type of goal that's always more likely to happen when your 'keeper is glued to his line.
  6. There'll be at least 300 people on here whose dads knew a Kenny Taylor at work.
  7. I love how I've gone from dreading seeing tweets loading in this thread to wanting it, all in the space of 4 months.
  8. I get what you're saying ,but I also think you're making the point a bit. In terms of relative overall popularity for a rugby club to get nearly half the attendance of a football club is crazy. It would be like the falcons getting 23k when in reality they get like 5k.
  9. At least today has shown me what my limit is. Fair play to anyone watching either of those matches like.
  10. Fair enough. It felt like more against Spurs and they were definitely more threatening.
  11. Just goes to show how different perceptions are. After 10 minutes I thought we completely dominated and controlled the match, with basically zero threat from them until we went mental at 90+ minutes. And that was with a rotated team. No idea how anyone could think Spurs was a better performance considering how often we were cut through in that match and kept giving away corners.
  12. Let me guess, showing off about basic human decency and attributing it to being from Yorkshire? Yet to meet a man from Yorkshire who isn't like that.
  13. Not a criticism but I never ever got the feeling that Leeds was a football city when I lived there. Whenever the cricket was on at Headingley it seemed like a much bigger deal to everyone and rugby seemed like it was as popular as football as well, possibly more actually.

The way it looks like forced perspective has sent me West.
  15. As obviously class as he is I still think he's really underrated and appreciated by our fanbase. He feels like he'll be one of those players that we fully appreciate after he's retired.
  16. Not a fan of 'keepers scrambling across their goal line as crosses come in. Pope might overplay his hand at times with crosses, but I'd much rather have a 'keeper that commands on crosses.
  17. Found his level. Nah, he was good but it's never been about his ability, it's whether he'll go and do that again the next time he plays.

    Nick Woltemade

Looks like Wissa's back at the right time in terms of Nick's tiredness. He's grafted his arse off and put in a fantastic shift Hopefully he can rest up a bit and come back on fire.
  19. Think you'll be surprised when you watch it back, we had some really nice moments nigh on always involving Bruno. Should have won by 4 or 5 tbh, that post 90 minutes carry on was ridiculous.
  20. The jury will be out for a while yet for me, but I'm still just not sure what he is. Looking at his highlights from when he was in form you'd think like an in form Willock but with a goal threat. At the moment he's more like an out of form Willock.
  21. That would have been a parody of ourselves this season if we'd thrown that away at the end. Fucking hell, what are we like!? About as comfortable as it gets and we could have legitimately ended up drawing in the end. Hard to know how to rate the players there when the opposition was so bad. That post-90 minutes man, totally different team and it's almost like when 90 minutes comes, that's the actual kick off for the match. Ramsdale: 6.5 Livramento: 6.5 Schär: 7 Thiaw: 7 Burn: 7 Willock: 6.5 Bruno: 8 Ramsey: 5.5 Gordon: 8 Woltemade: 6 Elanga: 7
  22. The thing is, if Liverpool were good in transition, teams would be in much more of a low block than they are. The fact that they're not good in transition, because they're so slow, is why teams attack them more and give them more opportunities to counter. Any Newcastle fan or casual observer of us vs a team in a low block could have told you that we (and he) struggled.
