Think I'm on my 6th or 7th rewatch now and in the last couple it's been Trippier that really stands out. I think there were four perfect performances on Sunday that would all be deserving of MOTM awards and he was one of them. He was immaculate and that was his best performance for us imo, seriously impressive considering how good a few of his other performances have been.

Like you say, it's not a choice, it's both. That second goal really got me though. Very hard to explain why because there are so many factors at play, but I think it's just because of how often we've watched Newcastle get close to glory, or have to get a result through backs-to-the-wall stuff, whereas on Sunday we absolutely battered them, and yet despite that while it was 1-0 and we were playing Liverpool it wasn't reflected in the scoreline. Getting that 2nd goal, in that manner, and so soon after being denied imo a perfectly good goal rubber stamped it. I think it would have been the same or better if we'd got that third that we deserved. 2-0 would have flattered them, never mind 2-1.
