  1. Leif Davis deliberately getting a red so he doesn't have to play against his beloved.
  2. I think it always says a lot when both sets of fans think the ref has been terrible.
  3. We're not, but similar to Brighton with Joao Pedro being out, you naturally want every possible advantage.
  4. It's relative to when you got the first one innit? Transfermarkt reckons he's one away from a ban.
  5. You've just liked my post in the Bruno thread so presumably you've read the countless posts in there saying he had a bad one. No idea why you're going all 'telling it like it is. Fact' over something plenty are literally already saying.

He was hung out to dry, don't really blame him or Burn. Being slow against Ollie Watkins isn't being bad, our tactics needed to account for that and didn't.
  7. predicted us getting 5pts from those three matches and we got 6 so I'll take it.
  8. Targeted by them as someone to wind up and enabled by the ref.
  9. Not remotely concerned based on that tbh. Fancy us to win our home matches.
  10. Neh, they were all hung out to dry and did what they could imo. Almost pointless rating them really because their individual performances had little to do with the result. Emery had a plan, Tindall had no answer for it and we couldn't carry out whatever ours was.
  11. Shit happens. Tindall's done well in home matches where we've basically been able to play our standard game and thrash teams by being better. A step too far when you're away to a very good team, with a very good tactical manager, who have a very specific tactical plan. If we had a plan of our own, it was hard to see what it was and we definitely didn't have an answer for theirs, it was clear from the off. From there our players couldn't perform to their best and I think it impacted there performance later on in the match. Not saying the result would have been different with Howe in the dugout, but it didn't look like us under Howe. Just hope he's back soon, this is just a blip and it doesn't affect the players' confidence too much. Seems pointless rating players because their weaknesses were exposed through tactics more than anything, but what thr hell. Pope: 6.5 Trippier: 5 Schär: 5 Burn: 5 Livramento: 4 Tonali: 6.5 Bruno: 4.5 Joelinton: 5 Barnes: 5.5 Isak: 5 Murphy: 5
  12. Andy Hindsight has an agenda against football and all footballers who should have done what he, the perfect footballer, would have have done.
  13. Mainly because Schär was holding him back. Take the point like with Pope's position being good but still think Schär's very fortunate like.
  14. He's been shite but we've also benefitted from it. Schär 100% should be off
  15. Don't even think it's worth talking about individual performances tbh, the problem is clearly tactical imo
  16. We've rolled with the punches and had our own moments but you have to be happy with the scoreline tbh. They've had bigger opportunities and won the tactical battle in the first half. Will be interesting to see what changes we make because we did get better from about 30 minutes.
  17. Chelsea were a known entity as being beyond a basketcase at the time though. It was when Boehly was in full Football Manager mode and buying everyone going without any regard for cohesion or IIRC even using a DoF. Potter was mental going into that thinking he was going to be successful imo (beyond the financial rewards) and I think any manager would have been. The stock he earned in Sweden and Brighton was thrown away and has never really recovered. Don't blame him for going for the money, but I really hope that's why he went because if he went there thinking he was going to be successful then he's mental.
  18. Potter's stock ended the moment he joined Chelsea. Everything about it seemed like he just wanted the payday because other than for that reason it was such a stupid career move.

Bigotry takes many forms like. It isn't necessarily always hate-filled and foaming at the mouth, it quite often wears a smile and claims to only want the best for you, but it's still ultimately bigotry. The parent child analogy is a good reflection on how religious people see it I think, but also unintentionally a perfect example of why the views of religious people and how they view themselves and gay people is insufferable too. An analogy that starts with the paternalistic premise of 'I'm the adult you're the child' has incredibly patronising connotations before even getting on to how it's ironic, or how the parent might not hate their child, but they will punish them for their own good. Not trying to be confrontational, just saying why I think a lot of these 'I want the best for you' stances are met with justifiable outrage.
  20. They're the same every season. Hot shit for a couple of months, the pundits wank themselves dry over them, then they slip away.
