    Anthony Gordon

It is a bit like. By all accounts we have funds ready to go for improvements. Unless an insane offer comes in and we already know who we'd replace him with it's pointless.

    Anthony Gordon

People saying to sell him ffs
  3. We were bad but this cunt did everything he could to make things 10x worse. No exaggeration to say they could have 3 players off for holding players when we were on the break. That NFL tackle on Willock not getting a yellow was about as farcical as it gets. Genuinely not fit to referee, an absolute disgrace.

    Fabian Schär

Worst I've ever seen from him today. The amount of time he seemed to pass it directly to one of their forwards was insane. That laser-guided ball he used to have has gone now as well.

    Joe Willock

One of the last players I'd be singling out after that, just as he was the last time.
  6. I fucking hate Brighton like, they're really nothing special this season but we've come unstuck against them every time. Everyone will get up a height about them again and they'll finish 9th or whatever as usual.
  7. Nah he was shite going forward with the added annoyance of him not defending particularly well.

He's an idiot but I also blame the ref for the unending amount of holding and pulling that he let Brighton get away with. We knew Gordon was a hothead when we signed him, I'm surprised this is the first time it's really happened on the pitch.
  9. About as disastrous as it's possible to get. Didn't play well, to put it mildly Absolutely everything fell for them Ref was absolutely horrific and let them off so many times Gordon misses the final Isak off with a reoccurring strain Subs made no impact Play all of extra time Still lose Fucking shite. Hated it, it felt like one of those games from the start and you could see what was going to happen when Welbeck came on a mile off. Not good enough from too many of them. Dubravka: 7.5 Trippier: 5 Schär: 2 Burn: 6 Livramento: 4.5 Targett: 6.5 Tonali: 6.5 Miley: 5.5 Bruno: 6.5 Joelinton: 6.5 Willock: 6.5 Gordon: 3 (was shit even before the red) Isak: 7 Barnes: 4.5 Murphy: 5.5
  10. Brighton are doing that annoying FIFA thing where you tackle and intercept yet they somehow still always end up with the ball. West Ham at home was like that too.
  11. Sounds horrendous here like, hopefully a sense of injustice riles them up, because it doesn't seem like anything else will.
  12. Joelinton's the first of the very clearly B-/C+ category that a lot of players will fill.
  13. Would guess it's the same now but I know for certain that when Staveley and Ghodoussi were here, they gave a ticket to one of the fanzine members who had missed out on the last final because they "wanted them all there"
  14. Hall was easily our best player and one of the best players overall despite having the hardest job on the pitch.
  15. Once an easy B hinting towards an A, currently a C and in terms of planning I'd say is a D.
  16. That's one way to put it. That form in 21/22 had us 4th in the form league, and this season we're only 3 points behind where we were at this stage in 22/23 when we were 4th and finished 4th. If you think we should be doing better than the position we're in because of the extra signings we made in the meantime and because Howe set a rod for his own back that's obviously each person's opinion. I just think it's completely daft.
  17. 4th best team in the league since he arrived with the 7th highest paid squad and half the squad still from when we were relegation candidates.
  18. I think it's relevant because there were opportunities to have shots and have shots on target that weren't taken. If we'd been dominated it wouldn't be as relevant as it is here.
  19. If Wilson had scored or got it on target, the other opportunities we had on the ball and did nothing with would still be bizarre.
  20. That chance was half an hour in. We had plenty of the ball after that like, it's not one or the other.
  21. Allison didn't make any save. Not one. I'd understand more if they dominated possession - something I expected - but we had plenty of the ball and opportunities to break. Aside from the two Wilson horror-finishes, one being offside, we played at a noticeably slow pace and didn't even attempt any shots from outside the area. It was a strange performance.
  22. Couldn't care less about the scoreline, it's the sense of complete resignation in our play that bothers me. We didn't have a shot on target despite having plenty of the ball, kept letting them get back into their shape for some reason, and our style and intent didn't change from nil nil to 1 nil to 2 nil. Didn't even think Liverpool were good, they went just as much through the motions of winning as we did losing. It's been a long time since the league's had such ordinary winners. Lewis Hall was the only player that really showed his quality and he had 10x a harder job than anyone else. Everyone else was a good few notches below their ability. Pope: 5 Livramento: 6 Schär: 6 Burn: 6 Hall: 8.5 Bruno: 5.5 Tonali: 6 Willock: 5 Murphy: 5 Wilson: 4 Gordon: 5
  23. We're going through the motions of losing here, really don't like this at all.
  24. You could see that coming from space.
