I have a bit of a love/hate thing with Souness. Hated him as a manager, liked him as a pundit and as a person, but then can't stand when he talks about us because he's so obviously bitter and plays up to every stereotype about the fanbase because he can't accept that he wasn't a good manager.

Gabriel aside they're solid picks. Can easily make cases for Casemiro, Rashford, Stones, Rodri, but the players in there have all had solid seasons.

There's always going to be a bit of recency bias as well I think. Almiron and Pope's form throughout has been excellent but Joelinton's probably sticks in your mind more with the other two being at their best what feels like last season

Gonna wait until the season's over. It'll probably be between Trippier, Schär and Joelinton, but weirdly based on my player ratings throughout the season it's between Isak, Almiron, Pope.
