Duff annoyingly went on to have a good stint at Fulham but the rest of them were way past their best when they came due to playing from a young age and injuries. You could probably make pretty solid cases for Viduka, Duff, Owen, Kluivert (although he was still good), Ronny Johnsen, Babayaro, Smith being name signings who were all past their best.

Re Broja, 9 in 38 isn't amazing, but I think only 23 of those were starts which looks a lot better, especially for his age. I noticed he was born the day before 9/11 We're so old.

It's all about the midfield signing and what Howe sees Bruno's role as imo. He's potentially shown in the second half of last season that he's too good to be restricted to playing that deep.

Paqueta for me. Tielemans looked great but he's one paced and can be a bit of a pushover when out of possession imo. I feel like Paqueta has a higher ceiling.
