  1. Hopefully a bit of a blessing in disguise that it's happened now because not signing a back up in January would have been suicidal.
  2. The West Ham team that went down on 42 points or something was absolutely packed with quality players like.
  3. 2am text from your failure ex.
  4. Thought he was fine, and that's with us all rightfully having a chip on our shoulder at the moment.
  5. Sancho is fucking class, but my God is it obvious they bought him without any joined up thinking as to why he was so good in Dortmund's system.
  6. I'm 100x more comfortable with him in there than anyone else we have, but he still has his moments
  7. He was the one triggering the press and he did it really well. He had a few rabble rousing moments with the crowd which should never be underappreciated at SJP.
  8. I really like what he's doing with what we have like. It gets a bit hairy at times but picking Clark aside I can usually see what he's trying and he absolutely feels like a Newcastle manager imo. His style and our historical style are hand in glove.
  9. Would need to see it again tbh. My general rule with Lascelles is if I didn't notice him he's had a decent game.
  10. Only thing I can fault him for is not hitting the target with his 1 shot. That aside he was almost flawless like.
  11. Rolling back the years Dubravka - 5.5 Krafth - 6 Schar - 7 Lascelles - 7 Manquillo - 7 Shelvey - 7 Longstaff - 7 Joelinton - 9.5 Saint-Maximin - 8 Wilson - 7 Fraser - 8 Murphy - 7.5 Almiron - 7
  12. Definitely saw signs of what made him look good under Rafa. He was absolutely shagged from about 75 minutes though.
  13. Couldn't really fault him tonight. Not really sure where that performance came from.
  14. How the fuck is Man United's xg higher than ours man. What a load of shite.

    Joelinton

Socrates is a mint comparison like. Jesus Christ, he's so fucking good at what he does.
  16. Fantastic performance. I wouldn't say we were unlucky, but you would definitely say we had the much bigger chances and the better performances. So disappointed that we didn't get the win but I can't fault the players or Howe at all.
  17. Depends on who we could have signed and played at a later date Vs playing now with our terrible squad.
  18. Tyrone Mings easily in less danger than Isaac Hayden was. Game immediate stopped.
  19. You could easily slip 'self-facilitating media node' into that article and it would be one of the least pretentious things in it.
  20. I get what you're saying. I do think they're two distinct groups of people though. Those that genuinely ascribe to more Marxist views on capitalism and therefore think NFTs are mumbo jumbo for the reasons you've mentioned, then those that are invested in NFTs and are trying to reverse engineer Marxist theory that doesn't exist onto it and give it more social credance, a bit like how the silicon valley crowd all thought they were anti-establishment hippies, kicking it to the man, by becoming the man and the establishment. Admittedly the lines between those two groups probably blur in the middle though.
  21. I'm by no means their fans a lot of the time, but Bastani and Sakar don't see NFTs as some sort of anti-capitalist tool do they? I'd fucking hope they don't like.
  22. Not really sure what you're saying here tbh ?
  23. I don't think we're disagreeing here, the world's gone absolutely mad. Just think it's so funny that the people who are completely against politics and any kind of Marxist influenced praxis are the ones who were unknowingly much closer to doing it in the interests of 'fairness' (while admittedly simping for hypercapitalists like Musk) than the NFTers who think they're doing it but aren't. Fair play to anyone who can pick any of this apart and make any sense of it because there are so many things happening in all of these different realms that are completely contradictory, even on a personal level.
  24. I love how the reaction to the shorting of GameStop and the creation of the European Super League was done by people who are hugely and vocally antithetical to politics, let alone any kind of Marxist theory, yet there's apparently a movement of NFT advocates that think they're doing praxis. It's incredible.
