  1. Are our limp along battered heroes actually getting any time off??
  2. We couldn’t start a striker there in November. Are we cursed? Front three of Ritchie, Gordon and Joelinton. Tino MotM. I’d forgotten that Bruno didn’t start.
  3. Banter has started at work (I work in Manchester). Mainly triggered by me, tbf. Beginning to wish I hadn’t been on the wind-up quite so much. Feeling nervous about this now. Desperately want to win. Perhaps the nervousness comes from hidden memories of all the other times I’ve desperately wanted us to win and we haven’t. Anyhow, a point wouldn’t be bad, but if we perform… could be glorious. Adding to LC knock-out (and pay back) by actually costing them something more significant at their place. This could be their lowest ever finish in PL era. Howay lads just this once.
  4. Thank God you said it! Had that horrible recognise him, who the hell is it feeling!
  5. Does his lass though?
  6. I think it’s one of those games where first goal can be extra important. The LC game there felt like a home match. We won’t have as many there, if we get ahead I think the home advantage falls away from them. They’re not a crowd to lift their team at the moment.
  7. It’s a play-off, ignoring Chelsea, of sorts for sixth place. May the best team win.
  8. That’s a great little snippet. If Liverpool get Gordon it could scupper Arsenal’s chances of getting Isak. That’s their angle?
  9. Who have you got above Terry Mac @huss9 ?
  10. Wouldn’t be surprised. He gives the impression of someone who really backs himself. I suspect that despite his age, the missed games/limited availability, this hasn’t changed.
  11. Well a change, in the player mentioned, is as good as a rest. Best get used to this kind of speculation as long as we remain the cuckoo in the ‘top’ teams’ nest.
  12. Truth in that, but no player is ‘on it’/a real difference maker, every game. For example, I understand neither Isak or Bruno looked at their best yesterday and Gordon’s decision making received quite a bit of flak. Guess we all want a full team of players whose ‘cycles’ are mainly made up of large proportion of positive performances and less of the rest. Also a bench with players who can put in positive performances, but are probably going to do so less consistently.
  13. We do have something to play for. Yesterday wasn’t the must win game. Wednesday is; I think that is the point.
  14. How was the ‘lap of appreciation’ or whatever they are calling it now.
  15. Fair play to you. Must have been a long day, but good weather and a great outcome ?
  16. This cunt signed for Sunderland yet? (…couldn’t resist).
  17. Well, add two wins to the tally and our away record will look a bit better.
  18. Probably help us do better in the league. But either of the two European competitions we might make, would probably be our best chance of winning a trophy.
  19. Or win at Old Trafford and draw at Brentford and hope Chelsea don’t win all three. If we do win both, and Spurs lose to Man City, then it’ll be an interesting (and Sheffield United supporting) final day. We’d get fifth on GD if Spurs lost that final game.
  20. Unless injured, exhausted, or you have one fit striker and a six pointer at Old Trafford for your next game.
  21. Next two are what matters. Win both and we’re sixth.
