  1. I’d prefer another Bruno, and the fluid flexible midfield it would offer, but I’d take that Alvarez dude from Ajax in a heart beat.
  2. Good plan, I understand that a three times Premier League winner, plus 4 FA Cup, two League cups, Champions League, Europa, and Intertoto winning OBE awarded thoroughbred will be set free from Everton soon.
  3. Just back from illness to be fair. And early days there, so probably unlikely to be dropped into the melee of an Edinburgh derby.
  4. Thanks for reassurance/correcting my superstitious thinking IP (…he says says before removing his right slipper and taking his shirt off, before mounting the stairs and hopping up them for a shower ?).
  5. Is he any good? Not against bargain basement shopping, couldn’t care less about where from.
  6. Hope there’s something in it. We were linked in the summer (‘supposedly’ bid £34m then).
  7. Dawns on me, my purchase of Miggy pretty much coincided with his relative ‘drought’. I can only apologise.
  8. You’re bang on. They’ve played more together than I recalled, 13 games. Two this season (Southampton away win and Palace 3rd round cup win). Interesting looking at who he’s played with and who has played with who! https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jonjo-shelvey/gemeinsamespiele/spieler/71292
  9. Yep, that’s what I meant. Not sure myself that is the reason Longstaff is playing. I wouldn’t mind seeing how Shelvey and Bruno might work—assume Bruno would move to 8 role— for a few games at least, but guessing JJ is seen now as cover for Bruno in the main.
  10. Do you think Shelvey would play as well as Bruno?
  11. Not arsed either way, two good options (how many times have been able to say that!) and not sure whether Wilson needs more minutes or stood down for a bit. I have a sneaky feeling, based on nowt in particular, that Isak will start.
  12. Whether they consciously phone it in or not, it already looks like they both have been at times, there will likely come a point when it is clear that this season is a write off—particularly for Chelsea.
  13. Chronicle pushing the Fresneda links; now he is someone who we do need now (for Trippier cover) and could be a first class/elite right back of the future.
  14. Why would we? Schar cover? Or show the Netherlands how much better Botman is?
  15. Imagine though, there is a lot of similarity in their game, what if young Alex has that kind of growth in him? Look forward to the Renault adverts in a few years time: “Whey, whey aye man” (… not quite va-va-boom but ?‍♂️)
  16. Agree with you. Though given they both tend to start, it is more than one position and Willock sometimes ‘out wide’.
  17. Fancy a score draw. Here’s hoping, that or worse for them.
  18. We never had anything like this kind of opportunity ‘then’. Fair to say missed opportunities to prevent a slide/protect position.
  19. No doubt he is a huge part of how we play, we rely on his industry and Longstaff’s tbf, and his goal contribution has obviously been incredible.
  20. Be great for him to sample an atmosphere like that. Will he have experienced anything like that derby-level volume in Australia?
  21. Got this on Talksport2, realising I don’t know any of the players from either side.
  22. We are Sunderland AFC’s ‘Perfect Cousin’, Kevin (copyright The Undertones). The Kevin’s would be a nice, and more honest addition to their NUFC lexicon. One of the reasons we should sign Gordon is he’s the most likely walking modern-day fashion disaster likely to wear an expensive full-length sheepskin jacket… .
  23. Was certainly my top pick/future signing, and some others here, when Leeds looked like going down last season.
  24. Was just thinking similar, I wonder what the biggest loss in transfer fee has been, in one season, to date? Have to smash that record to get him me thinks.
