  1. Not this year. Our run in with what will feel like a shit load of new signings will be a joy to behold.
  2. Still a young man. Eddie, and our team ethos, would make him fulfill his potential. (p.s. there was more of a sense of ‘collective endeavour’ when he was at Fletcher Moss).
  3. 49 years since my first visit to SJP (and cementing of the mind virus…) and I can’t recall a two game sequence when, all things taken into account, I have felt prouder of the lads. A draw and a 1-0 win, but two phenomenal performances. No malo indeed.
  4. Sensible plan is let him stay and continue to develop where he is. Needs must (…when the devil pukes in your kettle) plan is it would be daft to leave a player elsewhere if he is more than holding his own in champions league games when we’re down to putting green as grass academy players and three keepers on the bench in vital games.
  5. If season tickets are as cheap as some have said, even though they will count towards ‘attendance’ many who bought them are probably less committed than you would expect from normal priced ST holders.
  6. Oh man! Did you have to trigger Sod’s Law? On my reading, he’s got 4 goals and 5 assists against us in 10 League games.
  7. On the back of Tuesday’s colossal effort and sense of injustice, the kick-off time and opposition, whilst we can’t confidently predict the outcome I know that the atmosphere will be phenomenal (…at least initially, then game dependent).
  8. Gameweek 14 Arsenal 2-0 Wolves Brentford 2-0 Luton Burnley 2-1 Sheff United Forest 1-1 Everton Newcastle 2-1 Man United Bournemouth 1-2 Villa Chelsea 3-2 Brighton Liverpool 2-0 Fulham West Ham 2-1 Palace Man City 4-1 Spurs
  9. Doesn’t sound like a ticketing problem, you were just unfortunate to run into a couple of idiots. Glad it didn’t tarnish the event/experience.
  10. I was wondering about that. The commentator originally said ‘born in Chester le Street’, I was thinking surely he’d have been born at Dryburn, maternity hospital for the area, unless a home birth.
  11. Potter, in a relatively short period of time, picked-up a life changing amount of money. Assuming he was comfortably off before then, it gives him choices. Not sure what he’s up to now. The obvious next step, assuming his standing is still good enough, is to wait for a soon to be appearing PL opportunity. That said, I could see him picking up a vanity/pity project with a low performing team with potential. That said, he might also be spending a few years on a yacht.
  12. Liverpool. Nothing positive to take from that. All that remains from last night is disappointment for the lads. We beat Milan, then still potentially good things to come.
  13. They all looked fooked. Bruno was exhausted with about ten minutes left. Get in the ice bin bonny lad!
  14. Just hoping they are as knackered and as down to the bare bones as us.
  15. The ref seemed to gesture to one of our players, who was complaining, that Tino’s arm was high/in an unnatural position (he was running btw). Don’t think this should, in theory does, make a difference when the ball is deflected at high pace and close range off another body part.
  16. Another one for Chelsea to add to their growing regret letting go list.
  17. My rage has subsided enough to type/think… Nar, still just want to swear… ok. At least the last game means something. That’s it. Best I can do. Let’s smash those duplicitous Milanese mofos.
  18. I think their sense of grandiose entitlement is a little dented at the prospect of two defeats to little ol’ us.
