  1. I, for one, am a tad disappointed ?
  2. I choose to believe, admittedly on the basis of not very much beyond now having engaged owners with deep pockets, that Eddie will get all of what he considers essential improvements in key positions; and there definitely will be range of options for each. But that rather than there being a genuine ceiling on numbers or on £ expenditure, if we can get players on the ‘desirable’ list we will get them as well. It’ll be fascinating and exciting, with the inevitable smattering of frustration and impatience, to find out.
  3. Had a good day at the arcades. Think I’ll buy a football club! ?
  4. Probs just tied in. Won’t be another gambling/loan shark association in future.
  5. Ando: Omniscient or Wizard of Oz . You choose… .
  6. Delighted. For him and us. Seems very appropriate, given what he did for us, that he is our first summer signing. A competent and competitive club with values. Feels so good.
  7. First Day: Bournemouth (H) Boxing Day: Man City (A) Last Day: Man Utd (H) Europe decider ?
  8. Henderson song anyone?? Starter for ten, with a cap tip to Collocini… Oh Dean Henderson… you’re not a Makem c*** Oh Dean Henderson, Ed thinks you’re worth a punt, Oh Dean Henderson, I want [help me out??] too!

  14. Just watched the second one. Thanks @Toontimes. Flashback of (nearly not getting into…) that Blackpool away game. Donned in Somberos and grass skirts (homage to Mira ?‍♂️) after all day drinking and Pleasure Beach shenanigans.

Home, away, everywhere we go on Ekitike-tike we depend. Bang bang Ekitike-tike-bang-bang Our French goal scoring friend!
  16. He’s even got a Bruno-Linton hairdo! Howay Eddie, get it done. Joking aside, he’s a proper number 9. Suspect he’d score well at any level/in any company. Appreciate now might not really be the time for such extravagant spending but it is/would be so exciting to imagine watching a lad like that spearheading our attack.
  17. He would do! Hadn’t dawned on me he was recently at Lille too (ala Tyneside wary Botman). Also played for Philippe Albert’s Charleroi. Pretty close to a goal every other game everywhere. He would definitely do!
  18. Think I’ll go and do some wishful thinking via the medium of YouTube ?
  19. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1620722/Newcastle-transfer-news-Arsenal-Victor-Osimhen-Napoli-gossip-rumours-update “ The Nigerian forward has scored 28 goals in the last 24 months since arriving in Italy from Lille in 2020. And his form in Italy last season has led to speculation of a big-money move this summer. Arsenal had been touted as a possible destination with the Gunners desperate to bring in a superstar signing up front. But the Gunners have reportedly been put off by Napoli's £85million asking price. That could open the door for Newcastle to swoop in, with Calciomercato claiming the Magpies have been 'wooing' the forward for 'some time'. The report suggests that Osimhen's preference would be to play in the Premier League.” Any validity to this? Osimhen for mega bucks?
  20. Just watched the third one; the ‘corporate hospitality’ is so… so… local pub meat draw. I’d forgotten all about Peter Jackson. I used to really like him.
