I’ve seen a fair bit of Jesus (kids are City fans/live in Manchester) and genuinely think he would score significantly more in a team which relied more upon him. Also think he’d enjoy his football more because of it (despite his medal collecting hobby falling off a cliff).

It is about the blend. How different players complement each other and enable a preferred system. You can’t write off someone as mid-table solely based on the the teams they have played for/gaps they have tried to compensate for. Square pegs, square holes. I’d take it all with a heavy pinch of salt. It would be different if he had already talked to Howe/Ashworth/the club and was reluctant but (1) I doubt he has and (2) I doubt he will adamantly make a decision without doing so.
