  1. Played last night (Ramos). They win 3-0. He was one of the players subbed, not sure when.
  2. I see Ramos played (was subbed at some point) in Benfica’s 3-0 win over Kyiv tonight.

Which can also be seen as where the valuables are kept.
  6. If there is any significant doubt about his fitness at this stage, and hopefully not, given we are demonstrating that we are not as far away from top six, as the ‘progression plan’ might have predicted I hope they pull out the contingency funds (just made that up, but like the sound of it!) and buy a first choice striker. Pedro isn’t that kind of signing. He is a fit in, don’t upset the apple cart/dressing room pecking order, and hope he develops further kind of signing. Really don’t think we are far away from the squad to deliver a cracking season. Without a goal scoring centre forward we will have to temper our expectations. Hope and courage over patience Darren and Dan!
  7. Run a bath. Cold if you like, but make it a transfer one nevertheless!
  8. Thanks man. Didn’t realise there were some!
  9. Southampton 1-1 Man United Brentford 2-0 Everton Brighton 2-1 Leeds Chelsea 3-0 Leicester Liverpool 4-0 Bournemouth Man City 2-1 Palace Arsenal 1-0 Fulham Villa 0-1 West Ham Wolves 0-1 Newcastle Forest 0-2 Spurs
  10. Thankfully, at least potentially thankfully!, it seems to be next week/for the Bournemouth game.
  11. Noticed that. Really wish we had signed him too; top of my end of last season wish list. He will get game time at City though, once his training numbers/performances look right; very much seen as replacement Fernandinho.
  12. I’ve triple captained Salah tonight ?
  13. Leeds owner emphatically said, in an interview aired a couple of weeks ago, he is going nowhere. Lampard said the same about Gordon, and has since backtracked effectively saying he’s not in control. But seems more from the ’hoarse’s’ mouth re Harrison (unfortunately).
  14. De Bruyne showed him what he can aspire to yesterday. Not a bad thing to see and doubt Bruno will be anything but motivated to improve even further.
  15. ? our beautiful Brazilian baller is increasing looking a bit of radgie. I quite like that about him too! (… reserving the right for future moaning about predicable sending off mind).

Come and join the football baile, Geordie João!
  17. Yesterday’s game, and result, will have been seen by many who wouldn’t normally watch NUFC. Won’t hurt at all in swaying decision making about whether to come to this dubiously owned, perennially struggling Northern English outpost. Great advert for those we’ve already expressed interest in and a seed planted (with more to come) for future interests.
  18. Well hope you enjoyed the game DE. That’s what it’s all about.
  19. Only seen it once, but heard the same criticism on TV. Strikes me as a damned if you do, damned if you don’t kind of situation. If he’s stayed in the space (which Bernardo later occupied/drifted into) and didn’t follow Haaland, let him have the unmarked space he darted into between the six yard box and penalty spot, then no doubt the TV pundits would have slaughtered him for that too. But only with the 20-20 hindsight of Haaland scoring. Just as it is the wondrous pass from KdB and great movement and finish (who was meant to be tracking him?) from Bernardo that leads to similar certainty that Botman should have stayed in the space/not followed Haaland. You make snapshot choices in defence and elsewhere, sometimes it is only the outcome which makes them ‘wrong or right’, not the decision itself.
