Yes, he’s so effective in the tight spaces around the box. So often he seems to find a killer ball—often against the odds. Great engine too.

That is my thinking too. He needs to be 20 yards further forward, than he typically is. Needs Tonali dropping back (probs not a great solution) or the two of them alternating better than they are currently.

More seriously we could have had two Szoboszlai’s (would have been a great fit for us imo) for that plus the additional expenditure £100m gives you FFP wise. (Just checked Liverpool seemingly got him for ’only’ £52m).

I don’t know much about contracts, but guessing release clauses are probably pretty standard for players who are potentially still on the rise.
