Logical but probably guess work. They’re not going to delay/compromise getting what we need, so maybe ‘reset’ is an overstatement. That was immense. Real flashbulb memory of it, though, and not sure why, hearing that Keegan had replaced Ardiles as manager in 1992, still stands out as biggest moment for me. Personally, I don’t see him as being a callous duplicitous liar (unsurprisingly). He understands the need to upgrade and the current financial context but what you get from him is cards close to chest ‘need to know’ media stuff and a genuine warmth and affection for the young people who have played for him.

Think that’s the reason we’re looking at Thiaw. Guessing he’s first on the list and we’ll move on if the deal doesn’t come off.
