Agree with what you say. It’s an odd one, being the away side, but I think the Newcastle players will be more comfortable with the atmosphere than the home players. Guessing not many of them will have played in similar before. -
Wanna bet? (…I’m sorry).

Was about to make potentially sexist comment, but reeled myself in! … … “Man’s game!” (Shit).

Enjoying the fewn from the shining lights of the dark place! A couple of my personal favourites: “Should be knocking up a protest tonight at the stadium quite frankly, anyone willing and able to descend on the stadium at 7pm. How much longer do we have to put up with this shit?” “The volunteers and the fans who have gone to the time and effort should all be commended, unfortunately the clubs idea to thank them is to take a big shit on all of it.” ☝️good to see Pladium of Shite’s preferred means of protest still alive and well. -

Well this little unforeseen shitshow has cheered me right up! (Hope it’s real) -
It was quieter in the way back down Wembley way! Apart from me. I sang all six verses of Blaydon Races to cheer-up the troops (& say fuck you to the stray early-dart Man Utd fans). Did it again on a packed carriage; which was a much cheerier mass participation event!

I like what you did there!

Might also want to re-direct him back to Trafford (the borough of Greater Manchester in which their ground actually sits) if he overshoots and ends up in Salford ?

Take your point if you equate world class with achievements to date. Clubs served, trophies won. If someone is expressing an opinion that Eddie Howe has an absolutely top drawer range of leadership and tactical attributes which put in him the upper echelons of football managers, regardless of country/league, then I think saying ‘he is world class’ is decent shorthand.

I think we’re ready now. There was enough in the Liverpool game to indicate seeds of recovery. Personally I’d love to be there, preferably amongst our supporters, having experienced the opposite away to them on three occasions it is no where near as much fun as being amongst our lot. -

He’s a loss to the Luftwaffe.

Keep saying this, but really reminds me of a young Waddler (running/gait wise not skill set).
-
Would have loved Palmer. Not very often a young English player with his potential becomes available.
-
Good words and hard earned wisdom. Keep on keeping on bonny lad.
-
Well, given the wall of red in front of him, he had a roll back to the edge of the box (which would have been the better option) but hardly a massive range of options.
-
At this point a public apology from Barnes as conspiracy theories about his glass foot seem more indicated!
-
He was exceptional as a young player.

My local in Felling used to regularly open very early for away games. The landlord arranged the bus and aperitifs and no doubt the benefits compensated for the risks ! -
