  1. Update on tracker towards a top six finish, taking account of the relative difficulty of games as they fall across the season. 23 points, at the end of November, puts us bang on track for a fourth place finish for the average PL season (assumptions in hidden content quoted). 6th would be 21 points. 5th would be 22 points to date. Third 25, second 27 and first 30. So at present Arsenal are bang on the points tally for the average PL Champions, at this stage.
  2. RIP. ?GARY! Speed! He scores them with his heed. Gary Speed. Gary Speed!?
  3. Gordon 0 (senior caps). Gallagher 11 Sterling 82. Now that is a wind-up
  4. At least you’re obviously (…and not unfunnily) on the wind-up now. I was fearing for your sanity.
  5. He’s ‘a turn’ (entertaining) but really like the understated but cutting comments by the Newcastle fan. Well done that woman.
  6. The Uber slick. From slick city. Which, in case you don’t know, is full of super slick mofos. (I may have significantly to my alcohol intake after getting home and watching the whole match again).
  7. Another stunning performance today. Solid as a rock.
  8. As soon as he laid hands on him, he was gone.
  9. Too true! I’m old enough to have ‘enjoyed’ the feel of a wet caser slapping against cold thighs and thudding against forehead, in junior school. Strips were teabag style nylon on a pitch at pretty much top the highest point in Gateshead. Madness really.
  10. Might be just a punt on our ‘Mounties’ reputation/aspiration.
  11. We don’t have to agonise over it. There’s no doubting that they are both top keepers/have appeared for their country. Ramsdale at all levels. Howe will have the best insight, no doubt guided by his goalkeeping coaches at Bournemouth and here. Personally, I think it would be a good time to get Ramsdale (if he is wanted) and given the age difference and room for further improvement, if affordable, he would be a good shout to offer genuine first team competition to Pope and maybe ultimately replace him. When that would occur would depend on what they saw in training and opportunities given.
  12. Gameweek 13 Man City 2-1 Liverpool Burnley 1-2 West Ham Luton 1-2 Palace Newcastle 1-2 Chelsea Forest 1-2 Brighton Sheff United 1-2 Bournemouth Brentford 1-2 Arsenal Spurs 2-2 Villa Everton 2-1 Man United Fulham 1-1 Wolves
  13. There’s an Irish bar, where the local NUFC fans congregate. I’ll see if I can find the name. It’s here: https://www.the-globe.dk
  14. Pretty much the same. But with better turning circle ? Always fancied myself as a tricky winger but really should have listened and learned how to play centre back properly. Highlight probably playing against Gazza as kids; taught him everything he knows (…about coping with life).
  15. Nope. Would be very surprised (pleasantly) to see Miggy and Isak.
  16. I remember thinking the same about Sandro T. Decent preseason. Fabulous first game. Then he, performances and non-verbals in general, looked a bit off. Here’s hoping Tripps isn’t living with ongoing ‘stressors’/something ominous hanging over him.
  17. I don’t know why it somehow feels worse than scumbags turning over anyone else’s home; perhaps because the players, to me, represent or city/region and should be treated with respect? But it does feel worse and makes me want to go into full vigilante, torch lit, pitchfork wielding, hounding-out mode!
  18. If his house was burgled, particularly close in time to ‘fan-gate’, I hope it hasn’t affected his view of us/region/fans. Awful experience to have.
  19. Still talking about Peacock?
  20. If we’re talking personal favourites, then I’d need to tweak the formation to: Given Albert Schar Woodgate Solano Bruno Lee Ginola Beardsley Shearer Cole (maybe Isak for positional reasons)
  21. Ouf! Would be a fantastic game between those two sides!
