At this rate, might be a case of looking around after the smoke has cleared and seeing who we still have standing!

Oh! But that glorious one half of football when all our newbies and shadowy sick notes are fit! Think of that ST, think of that.

Big Dan is the obvious leader.

Love the lad, and all his foibles. I’ll miss the joy he evidently plays the game with and his non-stop running. When he puts his head back when accelerating, like he’s dropping a gear, always makes me smile.

Hearing that interview, that he went to City from Blackburn aged 9-10, triggered a memory. There was a lad of about that age joined in with a City academy session when my son was there. Played in joggers and hoodie and normal trainers. Rang rings around everyone. One of the coaches said he was a couple of years older and moving over from Blackburn (I think, had remembered it as Burnley but easy mixed up). Age is right. Wonder if it was him?

I reckon he’ll be training with the first team squad. If so, it’ll be up to him (to some extent) whether we see him in the first team.

Three out? Any juicy new rumours on replacements?
-
Possibly, but to be fair having a good game against someone probably used to trigger a significant amount of transfers back in the day!

Errr well by business sense I mean holding all objectives in mind. Ambitions this season, growth for the future, balancing the books by making use of unforeseen (or engineered/encouraged if required) opportunities, and manager preferences. Trying always to maintain the optimal balance between competing demands. Keeping the public all ‘stakeholders’ informed and relatively happy in the process. This might involve risking a step backwards today to go three forward tomorrow. So I think we are kind of saying the same thing.

He’s called Alfie… maybe secret step brother ?♂️

That’s about size of it, D. There’s plenty of sentiment in the club, but we will be canny in the Scottish sense going forward. It might just make too much business sense to turn down.

Is it about profit, on a player? Or the (one piece of the jigsaw) financial flexibility the sale offers? Genuine question.
-
Or selling Kieran to buy… answer may justify action.

Three Gateshead Stadiums, or one Heworth?

Like Palmer (hopefully…) as he is miles away from securing a first team slot. The generation of kids two years younger than him were truly exceptional. Playing a year and still slaughtering most teams. City still brought in a number of overseas kids at aged 12.

Got a phenomenal goal and assist record (admittedly for the u18s…)

Might it not help them out of the financial pit they are in? Or do you reckon that the books this season/year might not be taken into account?
-
Thought they paid £25m? (Nottinghamshire Live) but guess that could have been just the up front fee.

I reckon £35-40m might do it. Is that eye-watering?
