Steve Bruce will be gone before the takeover happens. I’ll give it to mid to late March. This slump we’re about to go on will leave us very close to the drop with little time remaining. If we go down the PIF ship will likely sail on somewhere else so that will motivate the decision. I’d rather we didn’t hire a British manager for obvious reasons..

Size is a myth. Sure it can help in certain circumstances but look at some of the top midfielders in the PL over the years, Paul Scholes, Luca Modric, David Silva, if never stopped them. I’m not saying Almiron has that sort of potential, but I think he’d do a better job than Longstaff for sure..

Look we know all about Bruce and what his shitty coaching can do to a player but the way Longstaff is carrying on out there it’s like he’s given up, not just on his club or teammates, but his own career too. There’s no excuse for looking so knackered, he’s not been overplayed. I don’t think the criticism is unfair, he’s a professional player earning a shit ton of money to do so. The very least he should be doing is ensuring he’s at peak fitness.
