Boehly has stood down today as their director of football and handed the reigns to Winstanley and Vivell from Red Bull. Think Winstanley played a big part in Brightons recruitment mind, for all we’re happy to have Ashton this bloke cleared played a big part. ‘Chelsea is pleased to announce that Paul Winstanley has been appointed to the role of Director of Global Talent and Transfers. Winstanley arrives at Stamford Bridge after eight years with Brighton & Hove Albion, initially as talent identification manager and then as head of recruitment’.

Of all the players being linked so far think Mudryk is the only one who’d I be really envious of going to Arsenal. Clearly Enzo would have been a real coup but looks like that’s dead until the summer. It used to be said that the well ran clubs stayed well clear of January, so whilst I’d love a splash I can’t say im to concerned as things stand. Think we’ve got our targets and unless they become available or there’s an injury crisis we could be quiet this month.

Not exactly prolific is he.
-
Keep our powder dry for Enzo and Khavaradona double swoop in the summer when we’ve qualified for the CL.

Loved Skunkers a time when men used to be men.

Very highly rated Alcaraz was touted as Enzo’s replacement at Benfica. Terem Moffi rumoured to be the striker, good record this season would be impressive signings if true.

Argh aye I’m sure Howe would have appreciated it was a Derby match, but just shows where not light years ahead just yet when you scratch beneath the 1st team.
-
Well they did put Shola in charge of loan moves so say no more.
-
The 3 mentioned looked out of their depth against league 1 opposition so not so sure on that.
-
Tell you what this lot would have undoubtedly beaten us on Saturday. Without even paying any attention to their current line up I would hazard a guess they’ve got better players than Lewis, Murphy and Wood in their current line up.

Chelsea or us ?

Newcastle United 2-0 Leicester City (10/01/2023)

Huge game let’s hope St James wakes up from its flag waving slumber and offers some real vocal support like the old days. That’s what proper support is about and what we used to be famous for. -

Rather he didn’t return at all seen absolutely nowt to suggest he’s a footballer. Looked out of his depth against league 1 players and like Murphy appears to have the heart of a pea. -

Our squad is shite like the Ashley years still linger with these daft contracts for mediocre shite. Compare this to the likes of Brighton today with young players and years of good recruitment. -
Looked out of his depth against a league 1 side absolutely nothing about him. The way he plays the game is brain dead and he’s weak as piss absolute embarrassment for a PL footballer.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Yeah I wouldn’t write this lad off, would like to have seen him on the left tonight where that useless cunt was playing. However, where light in midfield so needs must. -
Not sure any loan will sort this lad out, I’ve never seen owt like it. He gets the ball and his first instinct no matter where he is on the pitch is to turn back on himself. Fucking useless.

Got the feel of a pivotal week in the season now this, 2 tough home games and everything has been positive this season. Every team has a bad couple of weeks in the season looking forward to see how we react to this. -

Exactly Howe did the right thing completely, was just let down by some players who are clearly worse than I even realised tonight. -

On the bright side tonight’s result is a massive boost in our chances of making the top 4. -

Regardless the current players should have been capable of a result tonight, that the likes of Murphy, Lewis and Wood looked out of their depth is horrific. -

On the bright side going out of the cup has helped us last 2 seasons, the usual top 6 will not like this result. -
Somethings wrong when both the opposition’s league one strikers look better.
-
Body shape is constantly wrong when he receives the ball.
