He's the public face of PIF, we all knew that already. That doesnt equal him being ultimately the main man in control of day to day decision making though which is what is in question. So nah he's not right at all. The fact he's commenting sarcastically about him "obviously being nothing to do with it" shows what a clown he is. Nobody at all has said he's got nothing to do with it, simply that he isn't the one running it day to day. There's a panel of people making decisions on its aims and a main guy doing the day to day decision making, a man who has already gone through PL tests. Well explained and I’m sure Shaheed Fatima will nail this in any arbitration. I’m also confident they will be able to use the Man City ownership model to further muddy the waters and show how we are being treat differently. For anyone who has watched Wraiths show on a Friday the Crystal Palace ownership may also be used as evidence to show what a farce this is. I haven’t researched his myself but Hastie and Mitch always bang on about Palace being owned by a Delaware company, and no one even knows who they are. I’m quite sure that De Marco and co will be able to evidence how we have been treat unfairly when compared to other takeovers. Someone on here yesterday summed this up completely, how the hell can the PL in our current predicament even claim to be acting in our best interests, it’s f***ing laughable when you look at the state of the Burnley takeover. Still don’t think this goes to an arbitration hearing, once Bein is reinstated in Saudi we’re home free in my opinion.

Sorry to piss on you’re chips Keith, but according to some on here this is the final nail.

Do they need to prove separation anymore though if they can’t link govt to piracy ? I’m quite sure Staveley said they offered to put whole of PIF board forward for the test. Once the PL can’t link govt to piracy I’m not so sure this insistence on separation will be an issue anymore. Regardless I’m quite sure De Marco and Fatima have a game plan for this.

Do we know for an absolute fact that relegation is a show stopper ? They've spent so long on this, it would be a decision made on such short term thinking if they dropped it because of relegation. With the right structure and management in place, quick promotion back to the PL could be achieved. Buying the club will be a long term plan so it would appear a bit silly to dump it all for maybe 1/2 years in the championship. They want the club because of it's potential. Relegation doesn't take that potential away. According to Mark Douglas the other day it’s not a deal breaker and they would have done deal last season regardless, as it was a long term investment. However, Liam Kennedy thinks it would be so take ya pick.

I’ll break a habit and return to the land of doom and gloom. You’re spot on the tweet is being overly construed as negative, there could be an announcement from Saudi this week according to Jacobs on this very issue. The agreement between Arab nations involved the dropping of all legal actions, the general consensus is this will happen, we just need to hope it happens this week to break deadlock. You’re saying it’s going through this week? I’m saying news of Bein being reinstated may be made clearer this week. Look I’m as p*ssed off about the current situation as anyone, and the current situation is very worrying. However, as someone else just said earlier why would Bein situation stop arbitration ? The answer is it wouldn’t directly, however if the PL have indicated in proceeding so far that Bein being reinstated changes things, why not hold off and wait for that. This is why I believe 2 of Keith’s last 3 tweets have referenced this. So if bein is announced to be broadcast in Saudi Arabia the prem will drop everything and the deal will go through ? Nah, still the big 6 to convince. I think the big 6 are hiding behind piracy, if that obstacle is removed it goes through in my opinion. I don’t think they’ll have any legal case to block it once Bein’s London arbitration hearing is dropped. As far as I’m aware, despite other broadcasters not being happy with Saudi, there are no other legal cases against them that the PL could fall back on. According to many journalists it’s always been about piracy, the so called big 6 have used this to lobby against takeover.

Not everyone’s cup of tea on here, but I think a credible viewpoint on the current state of play. At this point it may be in everyone’s interest to get this sorted without legal action, and this tweet is consistent with line from NCSL.

If Jacobs is correct this could be a big moment next week for the takeover. If Bein is reinstated then I would imagine both WTO appeal and Bein lawsuit will be dropped. This will be the difference between getting Rafa or being stuck with Graham Fucking Jones, never has so much been at stake for this club.

Fucking hell who let Newcastle Online’s version of Victor Meldrew in here.

No idea if he was on here, but a good bloke with connections.

Very interesting re the arbitration not being via the PL rule book, from someone who would know.

I’m setting up a Bedouin camp fire on Whitley Beach and might get some Middle Eastern cuisine from Turknaz, what more could the Mrs want.

I prefer it over here, however it seems like some people are drawn to positivity, like the grim reaper is drawn to death.

Hijacked mate by naysayers and disbelievers, hopefully they’ll find there way home soon.

No new claim but very relevant when people say the deal was dead after original PIF statement.
-
No, he hasn’t said anything about the takeover lately What's this cash in the country 2.0 crap then? That was from months and months ago. Within a week or so of the deal "collapsing" if memory serves. Nope the rebooted attempt after political lobbying, they thought the deal was days from being approved.

Guilty as charged

You weren’t. PIF said they’d withdrawn the offer to buy the club. So formally the deal is off. Until it’s on again. Nobody has any solid evidence it’s back on. Semantics they’re waiting in the wings to proceed and you f***ing know it. Semantics? It’s the current position man. Prove it isn’t. Nearly everyone wants this to happen but nobody knows if it will. All this talk of “not long now” is horse s***. Not one person who has commented so far knows. How is the deal dead when George Caulkin confirmed in the Athletic that the money was in the country ready to be transferred for the rebooted attempt 2.0 ? How is the deal dead when various journalists confirm they are waiting in the wings. Respected ones including Caulkin, Kennedy, Douglas and others ? How is the deal dead when they are lobbying politicians and more recently Bein ? How is the takeover dead when Mike Ashley is paying thousands for legal representation ? How is the takeover dead when NCSL have received confirmation that they are ready to go once approved, why would a bloke be wasting thousands to get Mike Ashley compensation ? I could go on but I really don’t think I need to. Get out of here you negative c***.

I can only speak for my own posts and track record. I originally said the deal was not off, when the majority said it was. Who was correct there ? I’m now saying based on reading info and speaking to numerous other people, that I’m very confident this is happening. All my own opinion, and time will tell whether I’m correct or not. I’ve never pretended to be itk, but base my view on weighing the evidence. I repeat and make no apologies for stating I’m very confident at this point. Thing is no one even mentioned you. You’ve just went in two footed. As a positive person in this thread, I felt the need to clarify where I’m coming from.

I like a bit of a carry on in here, but let’s face it when I’m calling the likes of Shaun a ‘cunt’, I’m quite sure he couldn’t give a fuck and vice versa. In the real world he’s probably a great bloke as also your good self. All I can do is vouch for myself as someone who has followed this club for 35 years plus all over the place, and when I say I’m confident it is my genuine opinion based on how I’m interpreting information at the minute.
