Where probably an Odegaard type of player away from being really top drawer. Who that player is I have no idea, but we lack something as proven last Sunday at the really top level.
-
An elite creative midfielder to replace Joelinton feels like the next upgrade required.
-
Either that or they’ve leaked this on purpose as a negotiating tactic. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Hall family trying to take our eye balls out for Woolsington and that’s the deal we walked away from.

He’s keeping his powder dry and lulling Teddy into a false sense of security.

@et tu brute letting Teddy run amok here what the fucks gannin on?

Wolt will score more than Pedro this season nailed on.
-
Early days but looks a much better all round player than Sesko. Cant say I’d swap him for Pedro, or Delap either to be honest.
-
Yeah, very damning after we’ve just spent 55 million on his supposed replacement.

Need to build momentum quickly, if we’d held on yesterday it would have been massive. Small margins in our 3 defeats against top tier opposition admittedly, but things snow ball quickly in football, next 2 games are big for the season.
-
Next 2 games are winnable and we need to see an improvement fast.

Thought he was a big positive from today and with better service he’ll be a handful for any team.
-
Poor again from him today, don’t think he has any idea about his best line up, or formation at the minute. Both these things can be sorted, but biggest red flag was him saying we looked fatigued afterwards. Simply no excuse for this early in the season and worrying for months ahead if he really believes that. Opportunities also missed in summer to solve lack of technical ability in last 3rd. Big couple of weeks ahead for him and he needs results quickly, or this season will just become one of transition at best.

And some question the ownership.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Really best not to think about this transfer, it’s a sickener that will probably sting for a few years. -
The cost of the new Gateshead arena has soared despite being in North East. Everton’s new stadium cost 750 million and apart from location is pretty basic. If this is going to be 70k and best in class i’m pretty sure it’ll cost anywhere from 1.5 to 2 Billion.
-
Can’t ask for better explanation than that and it makes absolute sense.
-
Let’s be clear here any new stadium is going to cost 2 billion by the time it’s built. If PIF/Reubens are going to contribute even half of that through their own pocket it’s pretty much unprecedented I’d have thought on a project this size. If it’s a 500 million extension to the Gallowgate you could argue why saddle the club with any repayments. However, it’s not going to to be that and we’ve always been told they’ll treat the club as a business. The fact such a huge project is in the offing should be exciting to everyone no matter how they fund it.

Looked a powerhouse last night and great movement for the first goal. -
Comparison to Sheringham is a great compliment, one of the most intelligent strikers alongside Beardsley I’ve had the privilege of watching. Could be the answer to breaking low block at home, very good cameo last night.

The Newcastle Gateshead Mayoral Development Zone was approved yesterday. They can potentially take planning applications away from the council and fast track. Pathway being cleared for stadium announcement watch this space.

Ramsey has potential to be a good alternative to Joelinton, if he can stay fit. I’m just disappointed we still lack any kind of quality, or composure in final third after spending what we have. Woltemade might give us creativity in a 4-2-3-1 behind Wissa, but how often will we see it not convinced. -

Neither are wide forwards unfortunately, or creative. Though Wissa will make a difference and help us stretch defences. -

Good result considering the circumstances. Hopefully where slowly easing our way into the season after a turbulent summer. Main concern for me is still the lack of creativity and quality in wide forward areas. In summary we’ve spent a fucking fortune and haven’t raised the ceiling in my opinion. Squad looks stronger which showed today, but think Howe has a real blind spot with his emphasis on pace and power. We should have signed either Trincao, or the lad from Monaco to give us some technical ability on the ball. -
