Just was having this convo... was explaining to my wife why the match on Monday was gonna be so firey. Hadn't explained the Isak saga. She replied that football sounded like a money laundering enterprise not fit for purpose. Shes just started a new job and she said 'isn't that like me not working, and saying pay me more or i wont work' - its true it doesnt make any sense. Football has gone mad... I want to stop following but it's hard! She also said 'put him on 45k a year and see how he feels then'.

Don't want him. Downing tools is not cool. Hypocritical. Jackson please. Brentford are well within their right to stand firm and good for them.

The liverpool board all think its as fine as rain how hes acting... I mean I dont want Wissa now because of how he's acted. I dont care what you were 'promised'. Its a contract. You get paid millions. More than most will ever earn in their LIFE in 6 months. I honestly couldn't give a f*** what happens to him or how we look to future players - football is disgusting and this man Alexander the so called great, epitomises it.

I read an interesting take the other day that Isak's agent is not really an agent as is definitely into some underground dark stuff, and that some people think he's being threatened to act like this and if he doesnt, consequences would happen! From reddit newcastle board. Take from it what you will 🤷♀️

Why wont Livramento be starting? Is he at LB and Hall on bench/not ready?

Always rated him, delighted weve got him - i thought he was awesome few years ago and didn't understand why he didn't kick on but sounds as if he wasn't being played in the right position. Hes probably sad to leave his boyhood club but its the game now!

Its funny how aghast Liverpool are with our owners, yet dont feel the same way with Saudi buying their cast off mistakes or judge Alexander Isak for coming here in the first place and being paid with blood money. Im sure they use uber and Facebook too - also supported by Saudi. And the cars they drive. The hypocrisy is deafening.

A RAWK post. I love how the 'news' they have read they believe is true. Can anyone actually tell me the below is what really happened? I agree Paul Mitchell fooked up with the contract to Isak but im sure we have also said that if we get a suitable offer (NOT 120M) and a replacement, that he is welcome to leave. Also, they think we are crying about PSR and the fact we are not like Man City... I dont want to be like Man City!!! I am happy to wait for success and I think we have done very well to build as we have with PSR thanks to Eddie mainly. But Liverpool supporters seem to forget that their transfer sagas also play out in the world and they've also REFUSED to sell players. He is our player and if you dont offer what he is worth (Guehi is 40m for f sake in the last YEAR of his contract). If Harry Kane went for 100m in his final year then Isak is definitely worth at least 180m with 3 years left. They also bang on about the 'cartel clubs' that we believe exist. Well.... I agree that PSR is designed to stop another Man City and I would agree because its ruined football. But the continued love in to sky 6 in every possible way is disgusting. I want to make it up the way fairly, which is why 180m for Isak is FAIR. Pay it or f*** off until next year. Isak is a professional and i don't begrudge him success but the sheer way liverpool fans believe he belongs to them needs to stop. He has 3 years left and you're believing the liverpudlian shit written in your newspapers. Ill wait to hear it from Isak or Eddie or our owners before I judge what has happened. Plus, we are going after top targets, perhaps naively. But if one comes off, like Isak, then who's laughing now??? "Just contrast how Newcastle have dealt with Izak compared to how we dealt with Diaz. Diaz asked to leave 12 months ago. We offered him two new contracts, which he rejected. We said he could leave if someone met our asking price of circa €80m. We looked for a replacement. That process took 12 months. None of this was done in public. Last year Izak was promised a new contract, which never appeared. He told them well in advance this would be his last year. They get to the summer and Newcastle are still in denial and Izak is making all of this public. Newcastle are a shambles. Few players would want to be treated like that. No wonder they have difficulty getting signings, apart from all the other issues at the club. Besides, who wants to wear black and white when red is such a noble colour." Plus they cant even spell his name right.

Theres no way he's worth just 120m. Hes worth 175m at least with the rubbish being sold for such stupid amounts. If Etikite and unproven premier striker is 80m, Isak is double. With the sell on fee and the amortisation to contend with, we need to make 120m profit on him MINIMUM. We need to stand firm.

For 30m, this is a no brainer. Proven goal scorer in the PL. 10m per year for 3 years. That's worth 10-15 goals that Wilson wasn't scoring.

Just looked at the score... wtf?? Is it deserved??

No i didn't at all! When I watched it I felt the same with the goalie. Of course it happens in the men's game but very rarely is it that obvious. But its an area where you can really see the difference in skill. So it got me thinking. I mean no one ever wanted to be in goal when we were playing, it was just something someone had to do. I actually enjoyed it but I wouldn't say I preferred it. The competition in men's football means that goalkeepers are actively sought after from a young age. Makes a huge difference. Hopefully we see some huge improvements maybe even due to Mary Earps and how she promoted goalkeeping. Im sure she made a difference. But yeah its definitely a stick to beat womens football with but I didn't feel like you did! Was just literally thinking the same thing, that it let's the overall quality down. I just wish more people would understand why rather than thinking women are just shit 🤣
-
Was trying to think why it is so bad and thought that potentially it is the most under trained area. I reckon most women (me included) who like playing football would probably just want to actually play football. And if you maybe weren't good enough, you'd be pigeon holed into being a keeper if you were tall or whatever but I think training for that starts late. With better investment over the years and it becoming more of a profession, I think we will see it improve.

Its our thanks for champions league. Even now.

Mbeumo is definitely better than Elanga. Whether that changes remains to be seen. At the moment there's no contest but I dont think it matters with the squad we have. He improves us no doubt and we are on the up. Not sure there's any way up for Man United whilst chaos reigns. So id rather be in our position than theirs.

Yeah think was heartbreaking for me too knowing he was so happy to leave us for Liverpool. Its one of the reasons why I hate Liverpool so much now 🤣
