I completely agree that unregulated spending can’t happen and I wouldn’t want that to happen for us to be successful. I’m pretty sure if we could do what we wanted then we’d already have tried to sign someone like Mbappe for a £1m a week - he would probably come to us as well. Im really disheartened with football in general these days from refereeing, to technology, to governance and to finances. It’s just not as enjoyable as it should be for all involved

It’s a good offer for a 33 year old, but we all know that he adds so much to the team so it seems insignificant. I think having him for one more full season makes more sense to the club than selling now regardless of the financial difficulties

I’d add Willock to that list as well - all 24 years old and under with their best years ahead of them. These guys should all be in the team when we’re winning the league

I don’t see it happening, but I think it would be a good move. Adds some experience to the midfield and another body. Question marks as to whether he can still run and play at the high energy that he’s know for, is probably the reason why it won’t happen. That and his wages. But I actually think that if this transfer happens and nobody in the league cares about the Saudi influence

And he’s still not fully fit or playing with some sort of a niggle holding him back. Imagine this guy at full pelt!
