When you’ve dealt with addiction in your family and seen the kind of personalities that will hide behind ‘disease’ you’d probably have a different opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess. I’m not being cuntish mate, I’ve just seen it first hand and I don’t agree that it’s a disease

I just don’t agree it’s an Illness. I don’t agree that any addiction is. You have no choice if you get cancer and you absolutely cannot get rid of it through willpower and lifestyle changes. Same with pretty much every other genuine illness. The mere fact that you can stop being addicted to something if you make enough changes makes it not an illness. A character trait maybe, a weakness definitely but calling these things a disease just feels like an excuse. “It’s not my fault I lost the house through gambling, it’s an illness”. It kind of absolves them of responsibility for their actions. Maybe that’s harsh but I just can’t get on board with it. I have sympathy for them and I’m not suggesting it’s an easy thing to reverse but I just hate the rhetoric around it.

This prick randomly popped into my head today. Remember when he had a proper hard-on for James Tomkins. I’m sure he tried to buy him 2-3 times. Clearly not the most hateful thing he ever did he but still….cunt!

We must be such a massive ballache to play against. Terrifying at times
-
He’s having the game of his life so far! Such a likeable guy!
-
How on earth is this still 1-0 ?
-
Watching the derby game no one actually gives a shit about to get my football fix. You can always rely on the scousers to not observe a minute’s silence. Fucking scumbags!

Why are Spurs wearing a brown strip?! Twats!

Southgate’s ridiculous selections will ultimately be his England legacy. He’s never going to win anything so he’ll be remembered for bottling a final and continually picking players who didn’t warrant a place, while leaving out bags of talent. I don’t even care about England that much but I cannot wait for him to go.

Footballers aren't generally known for quick thinking and articulation. We can all craft perfect answers given enough time. On the spot he probably just said what he thought was safest and what came to him quickest

Especially live on camera when you know your boss has skin like wet tissue paper. I don't blame him, i'm not sure how he would've skirted that one. Emotions were so high at the time that anyone who didn't literally say 'he's a huge cancerous cunt' was public enemy number 1

Man Utd are hilarious! What a class game! Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of cockneys
-
I can’t see anyone in the CL worrying too much about either Man Utd or Galatasaray. They’re both shite!
-
That draw is full of shite and we get Man Utd away ? What a fucking season!
-
Shame really, I was hoping he was closer to replacing Burn in the starting lineup up he doesn’t look first team ready yet.
-
Eddie doesn’t know how to play against Liverpool. I’d rather we avoided them

Haaland asking for Isak’s shirt! He knows!

There’s been loads of stuff on podcasts and other football media stuff recently about just how much it affects a player when his home life isn’t settled. He’s young, brand new to the country, the league, the club, the climate and his teammates. He gets a totally free pass from me for a long time yet. He’s clearly totally class, we’ve already seen that but it might just take a while for us to see it consistently.

That’s what it got like with Pep’s Barcelona - they went from everybody being amazed by them to being bored to tears. It’s obviously highly effective football but it’s hardly entertaining

I know Man City are the best team in Europe but we gave them a game last season. This approach is wank and completely inexcusable. It’s the kind of shit you’d expect from a newly promoted team. We’re at home FFS! People have paid to go and watch this tosh
-
You're telling me you haven't seen anything concerning about the way we've been playing this season? The point is great but we had one shot on target the entire game and were lucky not to get battered. I'd love to be simple enough that I can just ignore the way we played and go 'wow, a draw away to Milan!' but there have been alarm bells ringing since the City game. Last season's Newcastle would've had a realistic chance of winning that game last night but we're a million miles away from that level. Calling people whinging vaginas because they have working eyes and more than 50 brain cells says more about you than it does them pal

I'm not suggesting the only way he can score is if we bang loads of balls in the box but it wouldn't hurt. In Gordon, Barnes and Almiron we've got 3 wingers who cut inside and try to score themselves. Murphy is the only one likely to put a cross in but he's not very good. Last night he couldn't get any service from midfield either because Bruno was being man marked. Just a very good defensive job by Milan last night, but there is a bigger worry about the lack of service to Isak even when we're playing lesser teams.
-
No room for sentiment if we aim to compete for top honours. I think we’ll see very quickly how much more dynamic we can be as a team when he’s replaced by a proper full back.
-
Exactly this! Almost every other team plays with two fullbacks that defend AND attack. This apparent rule that we can only have one is absurd. If that’s the only way out system works, serious questions should be asked of the coaching team

Burn at this level is every bit as scary as I expected. I hoped for the best, but he’s having a very poor game
