It must be soul destroying managing Spurs though. All that talent and yet there's a systemic loser culture running through the club. The fans are about as apathetic as you can get and just seem to be at their matches for a day out, Levy is a terminal tight cunt and must be awful to work under, there's very little ambition unless success can be achieved under increasingly unrealistic budgetary constraints and their recruitment is wank. If they hadn't lucked-out on Kane (who cost them nothing) being a world class striker they'd still be a perennial mid-table team

I totally agree mate. I remember Wood when he was at Leeds and he was class, but he hasn't been prolific or that same player for a long time. The one thing i did expect him to be was a physical beast, similar to Joelinton/Carroll but he seems to lack physical presence and the ability to hold the ball up well, so what is he bringing to the table? Wout Weghorst looks to be a hell of a lot better than Wood and he cost less as well. It feels like we've been had

What a class signing! Just doesn’t put a foot wrong
-
What is he actually good at?

Bruno needs more than 5 minutes in this game. Get him on for Shelvey at 60-65 mins and let him run the show
-
I guess time will tell if things are different in the summer.
-
Based on the prices we were quoted in January I don't think we're going to get better value elsewhere. Everyone knows we're minted
-
I'd like to see us raid some other PL teams for their better players, just to flex our muscles a bit: James Ward Prowse Daniel Podence Raphina Conor Gallacher (I know he's a Chelsea player but he's unlikely to play for them) Add a couple of good CBs from the continent and Gabriel Barbosa and it's starting to look a bit sexy
-
Given his international aspirations and him making it very clear he wants to play, he surely wouldn't sign a new contract if he didn't have those assurances from Howe? I'd be over the moon to see Schar play alongside Burn as our first choice pairing (for a while anyway)
-
I don't agree with that at all. Willock looked Garbage but Shelvey was playing well and was involved in most of the goals we had scored and Big Joe was bossing it. I would have dropped Willock and put Bruno straight in but Howe decided to stick with him
-
Because our existing full backs were absolute garbage and we weren't winning games.
-
I'm just putting it out there because you're all too scared to, but we could adopt 'We don't talk about Bruno' from Disney's Encanto for our new Brazilian God.

I think I’d rather take a chance on an academy player than Krafth. It’s not a matter of opinion - he literally is not PL quality and that won’t change between now and the end of the season. One-on-one he’s disastrous, he’s slow as fuck so he can’t recover from his positional wankness and he gives us nothing going forward. He will likely cost us goals from that side. His inclusion in the team becomes an instant focus for an opposition manager - run at Krafth, he’s shit. Pull Krafth out of position and run in behind him because he can’t recover etc. I can’t see how Murphy would be any worse defensively and at least he would give us something from an attacking POV.

Optimistic by name, optimistic by nature.

Loved his little battle with Mings! No backing down at all and comes away with a handful of his shirt ? Class!
-
Was it a pisstake?
-
That is fucking grim! Krafth? Ritchie is injured Longstaff instead of Willock? Joelinton can't be relied upon for goal and we need his strength in midfield
-
Shelvey has been involved in a good number of our goals this season. We assume Bruno will do more and better but what if he takes a bit of time to adjust to the PL? There's no reason to drop Shelvey right now. People saying Willock should play instead of him need to give their heads a shake - he's had 1.5 good games this season and i think i'm right in saying no goals and no assists? It's so easy to say we'll score this many more with Bruno in the team but we don't know that yet. Stick to what has worked so far, and arguably that's Shelvey playing.

Thank you!

Anyone know where I can watch highlights? I missed the second half ffs!
-
Imagine these guys worrying about the possible impact of Bruno and coming up with gameplans to negate his impact and then Howe starts him on the bench. Instant boost for them. Get him in the starting lineup FFS!
-
I honestly wouldn't wish him on any set of fans. He should be kept away from football and other professional sports altogether. The man is a destructive parasite and the game doesn't benefit in any way from his involvement
-
He's clearly got some psychological issues. His behaviour and the fragility of his character is not fucking normal at all
-
It was said tongue in cheek, i didn't think he was actually world class. I think you're doing him a disservice though because he was very good under Rafa at times, both defensively and going forward.
