Only ever seen media praising or excusing him. Don’t use social media, and occasionally have a look through Twitter for the LOLs but rarely run into anyone in support for the Bog Monster, certainly not this season.
-
Yeah enjoyed him on there! Was expecting him to be a total spiv, but enjoyed listening to him in end. That channel is pretty class, decent few Newcastle related chaps on there... John Beresford, Lee Clark, Michael Bridges I think is on their Patreon...
-
Fair shout, although he was before my time. Brazilian’s of my era are more Claudio Cacapa and Joelinton!
-
Should be waving Leeks at him then once we are allowed in grounds!

Your all time XI, but your only allowed to pick one player from each national they play(ed) for... GK; Shay Given - Rep of Ireland RB; Aaron Hughes - N.Ireland CB; Colo - Argentina CB; Albert - Belgium LB; Jose Enrique - Spain RM; Solano - Peru CM; Speed - Wales CM; Tiote - Ivory Coast LM; Hatem - France ST; Shearer - English ST; Demba Ba - Senegal Sub1; Dubravka - Slovakia Sub2; Dabizas - Greek Sub3; Emre - Turkey Sub4; Hamman - Germany Sub5; Almiron - Paraguayan Sub6; Ketsbia - Georgian Sub7; Ferguson - Scotland

Thinking about it, there was a photo of one on Twitter wasn’t there, so maybe it did. As if he turns up early for anything other than kebab shops opening. Think there was one cabbage planted on a spike in front of the grubby sign, but above reads like whole place was festooned with cabbages but they were all quickly cleared up before Bruce turned up in a desperate effort to save his embarrassment. Don’t think training ground has been littered with cabbages like, would have been all over Twitter even if it was cleared before Bruce turned up.

Half expecting him to revert back to the horrendous back 5 any game now. Despite that being the system he all but canned the players for wanting to play, and tried distancing himself from crimes of against football he was responsible for whilst persisting with it. Doing things his way has conveniently coincided with Jones coming in and the move to 433, and when players he was forever crying he was without had started to come back. He’s got bugger all talent to dig him out the shit up front, Fed is back so wouldn’t be beyond him to go back to the back 5 abortion, he’s always fallen to it at other clubs. Dubravka Manquillo — Lascelles — Fed — Clark — Lewis Willock — Shelvey — Hayden Joe — Fraser Also a bit worried he’s going to go with Gayle and Carroll too. Spoke about it after WBA saying he didn’t have enough time, another week and probably 2 training sessions down the line. An equally worrying thought.

Did this happen? Didn’t spot anything about this like

Why are the CL games on neutral venues, but EL at respective sides grounds?

Don’t Barnsley play pretty decent stuff these days?

How many NUFC fans were angry that we beat Man U 5-0? To be fair, I know it adds to it, but this is one of the least reasons to hate Bruce. Along with him being a former Sunderland manager. Neither of those things really register with me. Him managing Sunderland was a part of why I didn’t want him here, but it’s testament to the man himself that it isn’t the biggest. Like nearly everyone the overriding reason that eclipses him managing Sunderland is the fact he’s Steve Bruce, the definition of career loser who’s bluffed a managerial career of the back of being a player. He’s terrible at being a PL manager and that’s why I didn’t want him here, managing Sunderland was just a cherry on the turdcake.

Listened to Pod on the Tyne podcast earlier, Caulkin plays a recording from an interview with Rafa before Christmas. Says that in his final meeting with club before leaving it was made clear that there was no investment to be made in training ground and academy, and just signalled end of the road for him with us. Speaks to the class of him that his greatest motivation here was building a legacy and foundation to build from, not just a contract size or transfer budgets. Beyond frustration to think club wouldn’t bother investing back into the club, but probably not days later signing off on £50M+ being spent of transfers/contracts for Joelinton, Andy Carroll, and Krath.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/huddersfield_town/1204598.stm Back from 2001, wonder how Bruce’s legal action went in the end. How thin skinned can you get. His quotes back then just validate whatever was said regarding his ego! Bet he was the annoying kid at school that would always be grassing and running to teacher

Him sticking himself getting a haircut on his Instagram in a lockdown would give my the impression the lad is a bit dense as well... Gave up Instagram so don’t see what he gets up to, but can imagine it’s taking some adjustment moving to the country but end of the day he’s a professional at his job, and has made the decision to move to further his career. It’s exactly what he signed up for, at some point he would have to just man up and adjust or fall by the wayside. The 40M and salary does come into it, he’s at the elite end of a highly competitive industry - his mental fortitude and ability to have his s*** in order off field affects job performance. His mental side of the game is what we should have been scouting as well, and we as a club should have set ups to help players transition, but He’s been here 18 months, and would have moved country from Brazil to Germany, then Germany to Austria when he was out on loan.

Every example of fans significantly fed up of their manager falls down due to the fact they’d eventually be sacked or quit... Moyes first time round with West Ham, Moyes at Sunderland, Moyes at Man U, Van Gaal, Sarri, Hodgson Liverpool, Bruce everywhere. Closest thinking about it would probably be Pardew with us, then West Brom with Pulis then Pardew - but then it was obvious they were going down and Pards and would be sacked when they dropped if not before.
-
Who in recent memory has had a manager that they’ve hated this much, but just couldn’t get rid of? Can’t think of any set of fans of the top of my head, certainly can’t be anyone beating Bruce going by a metric of Hatred x Job Performance x Teflon Permanency Just the fact there is just no end in sight to him being sacked what I can’t stand with him at the moment. Have finally become numb to his football, slowly getting there with his waffle.
-
Could have had plenty when we played them last, just had pretty tight schedule with games and visibly took their foot of games to save themselves. They spanked us end of last season in the cup. That was the most farcical defensive tactical line up I’ve ever seen and still conceded 5.
-
Blokes a joke, he’s not even hard to defend anymore. Not the towering arial threat he was from years ago. Any PL defend worth their salt can go toe to toe with him physically now. Plenty of centre backs in the league that would smash this decrepit moron about nowadays.
-
Bet he’s got some games played extension clause in there. Nice round number like 20 maybe? Played 19 games this season so far, and that swap monster handing out 20 second gimmes will get him there. Only hope is he crocks it, and retires. Total joke of a player last few year, done at top level by time he turned up here. imagine him ever dropping down and playing for any other club, he’ll be here as long as Bruce is. He’s his doing. This club would have never brought in player like this without bunion face’s influence.

Should be doing all we can to get Schar and Fed to stay on, not this has been. Can see them handing out a contract to Murphy too, it will just be a case or minimising turnover in summer window. Will need plenty of additions to come in just to balance out who should be leaving, let alone adding and improving. Relegation will probably be a natural cleansing to the club no doubt, and we’ll draft in hoards of uninspiring talentless oafs for inflated costs to help see out Bruce’s vision of 9th in the Championship Plenty of players out of contract, board will be worried about having to replace them. Easier for them to just keep this donkey around. Clark got his deal which was fair enough, but Fed and Schar and only two worth keeping on. Ironically they probably can’t wait to get out of this club.

All our lads were missing training too -
And Shelvey there, two assists. Quality ball over for first, good composure on third

I went to prison for less than the challenge by their keeper on James Daly,” . “It was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen when the referee didn’t point to the spot. I have been in charge for five games now and the officiating has been poor right across the board.” Joey Barton after winning 4-1 tonight

I suspect if (and it's a big if) we beat Villa he's going to be all over this sort of s****, especially after Grealish's comments in the reverse fixture What did Grealish have to say? Missed that...
