If everyone buys into rotation you can see them all fitting in to a style of play.. so no drop off on pace or commitment when we have to bring the subs on. Think this is becoming a bigger issue with 5 subs as we can now use it as a team strength rather than a weakness. "They want a quick game... Let's give them a quick game!"

Don't be fooled by the current standing of the league in world terms. SA are not doing all this for fun.. it's about showing the world what they can do. It might start with some high level friendlies or even a final between the champions League winner v their confederation cup winner but there will be some end game in mind

Have sky or bt picked up the viewing rights for the Saudi league yet? And I'm even more convinced they are trying to replicate the Golf split and force some kind of issue with uefa and fifa. Obviously it's harder with football as it's both clubs and players who need to say yes. But if this continues for another three windows, I expect them to push for SA club champions league places or even support the super League idea and add their teams to the mix.

Just shows how one over the top transfer inflates the rest of the market. Rice for £100 million then makes a player with half his ability £ 45 million. And then a relegated team like Leicester or Southampton thinking they can sell their players for 30 to 50 million. Maybe the senior pros but not kids who have played one season. It reminds of when City chucked 45m at Kyle Walker.. all of a sudden every transfer that summer was compared to him.

Seems to be the forgotten man on the forum but noticed he is closing in on Newcastle's 2nd top Premiership goal scorer (5 to beat the mighty Shola!). It amazing that only Shearer has got over 50? Would be great to see him do it this year as have a feeling it will be his last year here.

I think we judged Targett the first season based on Ritchie and Lewis playing at lb. He looked a worldie compared to those two.. but now in the cold light of day it's apparent that he is below the level we are at now
