  1. What a load of shit . He scored 18 goals last year. Are you telling me he then went on and missed his next 40 chances against all those different teams? Seems to me someone had a vendetta against the kid. Why not pull together a clip of his last 18 goals!
  2. Just wish it was sorted earlier as any decent forward would have thought they were coming in as a back up. If he goes at least the targets will know they will get game time and be the main striker
  3. I'm comfortable losing someone whose heart is not in it and the funds can help shake up the squad in a positive way. I wish he was happy but if it means we can spend 150m and use whatever is left from the budget to up other players contracts it might actually settle us down for a season or two.
  4. I'm getting Andy Cole vibes of misery when he went AWOL before the Wimbledon game. Thought keegan had sorted it, only for him to be sold the following season. Probably best to let him go then have any negativity spread across the team
  5. Well he will be rested after last season on the bench
  6. This reminds me of watching the Olympics.. turn on some random sport, half watch it and then get totally invested by the end of the game. At least it's more exciting than curling or pistol shooting lol
  7. What it would allow is Isak to come off at 60 mins or be rested when he is feeling a strain. Last season we ended up with two strikers who couldn't run
  8. Move on It city falls through that's his problem
  9. So what day next week will we get the next transfer done? I'm going for Wednesday CM / CAM Europe 35 million
  10. Which players have we missed out on that you wish we had signed? There probably has been only 9 or 10 major moves so far this window so there does not seem a lot of clubs ... Apart from Bournemouth and Brentford who are selling
  11. So we get Chelsea to buy Pedro Liverpool to buy Hugo So now we just have to compete with Man I for the forward we really want?
  12. Good club Good lad Hope it works out for him and has a decent career
  13. Just in from work. Has anything actually happened before I read pages and pages of panic ridden assumptions? From my point of view the upside would be Liverpool could no longer say the don't spend money
  14. It's easy to buy 6x20 million players from clubs eager to sell and the fan base get all giddy. It takes time to buy 3x60 million players from clubs who are not so eager to release. They have to sort things out their end as well in finding cover etc. Sometimes they even buy players first knowing they will be selling to us later. Then there is the Chelsea model where they don't care and just blow everyone else out of the window and the selling club think the deal is too good to turn down. So fingers crossed it all works out
  15. So who told the Romano that the deal was at the "let's go ," stage? I wonder if it's Colleen Rooney dropping snippets to see who his secret contacts are!
  16. I think people forget the many different rules brought in to stop our rapid growth. Are we now suggesting they battled for two years in court just to buy us and then give up ?
  17. When your Grandad gives up on you... It's time to go !
  18. Seems Chelsea's scouting tactic is watch everyone else and then offer 10 million more. Guess you can do that when the rules don't apply to you
  19. I still think Popes injury was not right when he come back. Seemed reluctant to dive in that shoulder so maybe he knows he would fail a medical if if he was looking to leave. Either way time waits for no man.. be it Pope in goal or Wilson at CF. Players have to be prepared for a sudden replacement if we are to achieve our top 4 hopes year in year out
  20. Oh well at least Liverpool will only have £50 million left of the Coutinho money to spend after all the incomings
  21. Apart from two Champions League campaigns, one Carabo Cup and never being in a relegation battle for three years... What did that overspending ever get us!! I do get your point to a degree but history will show success over us having to sell Anderson etc
  22. If the ground was built on leazers you can imagine there would soon be bars, restaurants, bookies, entertainment pop up over the years stretching the center of town out that way. Even if it was somewhere further you would still need somewhere for fans to gather before or after the games. Plus a new ground need to make sure it has more income being generated outside of match days.
  23. Maybe Howe is trying to adapt his system or at least have an alternative. I think we got to a point last season where teams would sit back in our home games and let us pass the ball sideways until they were able to intercept and break on us. Is grealish or sane the ones who can offer something else?
