  1. Never getting penalties like, completely pointless asking.
  2. Was talking about the twitter lad!
  3. Exactly. The Tory part needs poor people to stay in power. Profiteering from pain, funding and sustaining inequality.
  4. In any trust or community organisation, strong governance is the most important thing. As Heron has said, people may have differing views on the personalities, but part of the point of governance is to ensure that doesn’t hijack the overall aims and structure of the organisation. So I kind of agree with that guy’s point, whether he’s an arsehole or not.
  5. I picked up covid on an LFT on a Sunday night but had some body aches / tiredness / cold sweats from the friday-sat night (which I had put down to a 2 day hangover, and having a toddler wake me up at 6am). Contact tracers put me down as symptomatic on the Saturday morning. It’s possible to dismiss symptoms if you’re running around mad like he has probably been doing, especially if it’s a mild case.
  6. Great performance from Scotland. Said it before but Gilmour is fucking class. Not a bad side now with Paterson locking down the right.
  7. Clark is shit, Ritchie is shit, Murphy is shit, Darlow is shit, Shelvey is shit, Lascelles is shit, Krafth is shit. This is an awful awful side.
  8. Absolute joke of a line-up. Smacks of teachers pet line up/lads that enjoy the training sessions rather than any kind of thought about who best fits into a system or who our best players are. Man’s as clueless as Bruce
  9. Lascelles is a total liability these days, he never seems to be making the right decision
  10. A back 4 with schar, Fernandez, dummett and manquillo would be better. Just tell dummett to defend, belt it up the line or pass it to Schar

    Transfer rumours

My memory of that season (as a 10 year old) was just blowing games - like a toughness wasn’t there to kill games - Liverpool, Blackburn, Forest. All heartbreak, all could have been closed out differently. I don’t think it needs any revisionism…in this case I think the “narrative” was pretty much spot on. But I was young so what do I know. Memories filtered by sky tv ?
  12. Imagine the beautiful bastard won us our first trophy…
  13. I get that people want new - but with Rafa I don't see it as going back per se. Given that he wasn't chased out of town like Bruce, it's more of a picking up where you left of kind of thing. I also think that because he knows the squad, what they can offer, and they will remember what was expected of them, it would take less time to get things organised in terms of the first team. He may not be the right man to take us beyond that, but he can certainly lay the foundations. I would take him back in a heartbeat. The man just got us, and deserves a crack at us with some money.
  14. Could revisit the old positive optimism thread - some great debate in there
  15. Wonder if there's any mileage in having an area acknowledging the thread about people's misgivings/conflict around the ownership and our thoughts on it? Feel like all we have is bad press about Newcastle fans at the moment and there's no balance to this at all.

Aye I know right! Lovely old morally righteous Rangers, a bastion of inclusivity. Never a bad thing associated with that club like.
  17. This is fun...wonder how long Jimbo will hang around

Don't usually look at RTG, but had a little glance at the thread on us. Not sure what the fuck is going on between companies house, getting in touch with the football supporters association, getting the "Rangers Lads" on board, getting legal advice around the piracy issue, and asking amnesty international to give tictactom66 a summary of their objections to the takeover... They is hurting
  19. Happy to contribute an article here and there. As someone who has been away from Newcastle for 17 years, this club and the forum keeps me tied to the city.
  20. Other things people should walk away from for moral reasons: Visiting the United States Taking drugs Using facebook The Catholic Church Islam All religion Betting companies Using fossil fuels in cars Eating meat The list could go on
  21. Quite sure that would have been 3-0 if it was Bruce
  22. The amount of times they’re backing in not attempting to challenge for the ball is insane
