    Garang Kuol

Also came across these two quotes . Don't know which forum they're reading as I've mostly seen people on here saying it's a really good choice of club for him to go on loan to.

    Garang Kuol

Had a little read of that Jambos kickback forum. Seems like a lot of them don't think Kuol is going to start for them. But also a lot of them seem extremely excited and calling him one of the best/most exciting prospects in world football.
  3. I understand the flip side as well. Just that I’ve seen clubs like Leicester and West Ham have really good seasons, qualify for Europe and then make a mess of both Europe and the league the next season. I still really hope we get top 4 though.
  4. Might be best that we don’t qualify for Europe after watching that. Might stretch us too thin next season and leave us in the shit.

    Alexander Isak

Don’t really want Thurman to be honest. He looks like a decent squad player but nothing special and already past the age where you can say he has bags of potential.
  6. Wonder if this changes anything for Joao Felix leaving, seeing as they take up similar positions on the pitch.
  7. From the Man U forum. With Liverpool also being up for sale, who is actually going to buy either of these clubs? Can't see a sale going through any time soon for either of them.
  8. I personally think Pulisic would be an unreal signing. Has a lot of talent and ability and also has the work rate and stamina to press the way Howe wants the attackers to press. Also has better end product than ASM.

    Football pet hates

I think it originally comes from Messi stans calling CR7 Penaldo as a slight against him because a lot of his goals come from penalties or tap ins. Then it just spread from there, definitely don't quote me on that though
  10. Funny that. Who would have thought that football fans (when you remove the extreme moral highground white knights and the type of people who would wear tea towels on their heads) have generally similar views on club ownership. I think this quote above from that forum pretty much sums up the opinion of the "normal/average" football fan when it comes to their own club. Yes, in an ideal world all clubs would be fan owned and money wouldn't be imperative to success but that's not how it is. Therefore, most fans will agree that they want the least bad owner they can have, while still being able to compete.
  11. I agree that Wilson isn't on Kane's level when it comes to creating chances or passing range, but I don't understand people that say Wilson isn't good at holding the ball up. I think he's ridiculously underrated when it comes to his hold up play, I think becuase he's not the tallest of strikers. But he will battle CBs all game and bring balls down and retain possesion. I first realised how good he was at it when he first came to Newcastle as I didn't expect him to be able to bully CBs the way he does. I was then reminded of it when he came back after his injury and Chris Wood was covering for him. You would expect Chris Wood to be better at holding the ball up being that he is a massive lump and a back to goal type of striker, but Wilson is miles ahead of Wood when it comes to actually bringing the ball down, Wood could win headers but they would mostly be flicked on into areas and we would lose possession.
  12. I also watched this and had the same thoughts as you. They seem to describe our form away as just we are playing very solid football with momentum and feel good factor. They actually compare us with Arsenal and say how Arsenal are playing brilliant tacticallly flexible football and that they don’t see any of that from Newcastle. I also find it pretty funny how the guy sitting in the middle who appears to be the boss of this tactics channel seems to know the least about tactics compared to the other guys on the channel. I also think he’s extremely obnoxious and his face looks very punchable . I do enjoy watching the videos when it’s just the Scottish guy and enjoy hearing his insight and opinions.
  13. Question for @Froggy. I know the way Ronaldo has gone about this whole thing is very cuntish, but are Man U fans letting the feel good factor around Ten Hag cloud the fact that Ronaldo is the most high profile person to go against the Glazers so directly? Would this not have been a chance to really put pressure on the glazers, since most fans identify the ownership as the real problem at the club?
  14. Ronaldo confirmed he was offered 350 million to play in Saudia Arabia for 2 seasons.
  15. Always wondered how footballers make these bets on football. They obviously can't put it in their name or even have the money linked in anyway to any of their accounts. My first guess would be that they tell their friends what to bet on? If so how do they get caught in the end? Or do I just have it all completely wrong?
  16. Kvaratskhelia is the Georgian lad. He was actually already a wonderkid on FM for at least a year before Napoli bought him. Don't know why no other club took a chance on him, except for the fact that premier league clubs would have struggled to get him a work permit. Maybe the 100m price tag on Mudryk is reflecting that clubs don't want to miss out on the next player like Kvaratskhelia.
  17. I think Mudryk is the next player up for a Haaland/Kvaratskhelia type rise straight to the top. Would be my number one target personally, over Maddison or Diaby.

    Joelinton

I know this has been posted elsewhere but does ASM offer the same tactical flexibility as Joelinton on that left side? I'm not sure ASM would be dogmatic enough to keep making that same burst infield all game long that Joelinton did or if he would even have the stamina to do so.
  19. I know Barnes has been injured a lot but not sure on the details oh his injuries. Have they been injury prone type injuries or unlucky ones?
  20. Do we have the best press in world football right now? One thing Eddie Howe mentioned about his time at Bournemouth was having the mentality of us against everyone else. It's clear he has instilled that mentality in our squad here as well. The first part of this thread mentions the body positions of Wood and Almiron crouched and ready to sprint. Not only are we doing everything with such immense commitment but it's perfectly coordinated down to the last man. How many other teams have either our level of commitment or coordination? Let alone combining the two. We look like the real deal right now, we are controlling games without even having the ball. Eddie Howe, what a man
  21. I think I remember reading a post on here saying that he probably pissed off Van Gaal for opting out of a youth team game recently as well.
  22. Would love to know more details about all this stuff, I find it fascinating. Although understandably managers and sporting directors won't be giving away their trade secrets. I feel like it also speaks to Howe's character that clubs like Liverpool and Atletico Madrid welcomed him in.
