Yes but how they arrive at targeting him is the point I was sort of making. His defensive contributions sort of balance out his on the ball shortcomings most of the time, but I'm sure we'll see a marked improvement in our attacking patterns down the left if we have a more athletic, technical LB instead, whether that's Howe trusting Hall or shifting Livramento over there.

Fat Ronaldo genes, going to look like his dad by 27. Panicked.
-
I've always found him to be strongest in the 60-80 minute mark of games where tired legs afford more space and he begins to swagger, orchestrate and properly take over the midfield jousting. He's still doing that even in this slight form slump so not too worried really, unless he does go the Ozil route...
-
Is this where he turns into Aubameyang or Ozil post big Arsenal contract then? Worrying.
-
Not even sure it's a conscious effort some of the time, more teams finding the path of least resistance to creating chances by attacking our left hand side. Bit of both really to me but it's clear they get less change out of Trippier/Almiron or Murphy than Burn/Gordon or Barnes.

Isak having negative stamina didn't help with that more than Anderson being shite by my reckoning.
-
Personnel has to be factored in too, replace Gordon/Tonali with a fit double Joe and those numbers improve.
-
I can't speak for TBG but I would imagine the sentiment isn't directed at posters like you Pata but the relentless repeaters who spread themselves across every thread with the same tired comments ad nasuem.

If Leao doesn't know how to shoot it's not a robbery, Milan gave us a point by not finishing their chances.
-
If he had stamina by that point it might not have been too bad defensively.
-
We pretending Sven Botman didn't play?
-
Not the best performance but it can be reviewed and we'll grow into the other games with more experience. Great result.
-
Bruno is pressing furthest forward and Longstaff isn't covering, leads to shit like that on transition/counter.
-
Tonali and Longstaff trying to create vertical lines to our attacking play isn't a bad plan, it's just not really working at the moment as Burn has an extremely limited passing radius and generally gives it to a marked Gordon with Tonali already up the pitch. Longstaff has found space around their box already with his runs but his lack of on the ball quality and shite diving happened. I should also add, it's a definite instruction from Howe re: the two CMs spreading wide constantly, not sure how good it's working to trap Hernandez though.

Howay, 0-0.

The difference in left backs is hilarious.
-
We're playing last season's semi finalists at their stadium, this was never going to be easy, battling well, some right flanges in here.
-
See?
-
Loftus-Cheek is finding a lot of space between Bruno & Tonali, not good.
-
Good dive from Theo the ringworm haired nonce.

My body is ready.

I hope we absolutely pump Chelsea B. Let's fucking go.
-
With the way Trippier is being instructed to play we need to start a more technically gifted, attacking capable LB, whether that's Hall or flipping Livramento.
-
3-0 nil loss was my dream last night. Trippier sent off for dissent at 1-0. It was an away game though so won't read too much into it...

Lazy kinder nonce.
