Apparently fought over a penalty yesterday also.

And I like to be very clear: You said the stats don't include Mainoo and Malacia, or Fofana. But they don't include Krafth or Willock either. We had many pretty much season ending injuries. This is also a fact. That is why I would argue they were a lot worse. And yes, your CB situation was awful, so was our GK or midfield situation. Or striker in some parts when I think Almiron ended the game as front man..
-
To be honest, now you are twisting facts a bit. Fact is Ritchie or Dummett only played few minutes from the end, but they came on because others on the bench were keepers or kids that Howe couldn't trust. So option was to bring Ritchie/Dummett or no one. Dummett played the whole game in LC against City and against you.

Might be, but surely we had players injured before season started also? Krafth and Willock come to mind. Willock was out until end of October and Krafth also was out until Wolves game 28th of October. Our season was over because same 11 players were playing every game for 2 months. That really doesn't last, like everyone could see. You can argue that same happened to you too.

"Most individual injuries" is really ridiculous stat. Which is worse, getting your back broken like Andersson and being out for months (1 injury) or having a flu or slight niggle every week (x number of injuries) If you are out for months, it also takes longer to get back in shape. Newcastle had until January clearly the most days lost, and you can argue our season was done there already. Players were dead playing 3 times a week whole November-December and we were out of Europe. Source for stat above https://onefootball.com/es/noticias/every-premier-league-team-ranked-by-how-much-they-have-suffered-from-injuries-in-2324-38857417 edit. Chelsea didn't play in Europe last season? Huge difference also.

Chelsea sign Jörgensen
-
Most likely it is like Hall, so pretty much obligation to buy.
-
Yea but he is not joining to win League Cup. Arsenal could use a LW i guess..
-
I really see no reason for him to move to Liverpool right now. They are not winning titles or paying much more to him than us.
-
well this is what I saw https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/man-city/ederson-man-city-transfer-stefan-ortega-470090-20240725
-
That was already reported to be bs. So if leaves reason is most likely money.
-
Well it pretty much is. We are not going to the season with too big squad.
-
Because if we sign for example a RW, we then have 3 on the books. That is not reasonable in any way. If we sign a rumoured GK like Trafford, we of course need to sell Dubravka. If we sign rumoured RB from Spain, we need to sell or we have something like 6 RBs on the books. And then there are players like Lewis, Hayden and Fraser who needs to be sold for obvious reasons.
-
We already have missed at least 2 of our targets in Olise and Tosin. Maybe some other too that are not public? Not easy when you are not in Europe and we also need to sell.
-
I think everyone really should understand transfers take months and plans are made well advance. Howe and co. have identified targets long ago. Signing Mitchell doesnt change that at all. We have a plan and have made our moves already most likely. And everyone can look the deals other clubs have made. Liverpool no incomings for example? Arsenal have finally got 1 player through the door? Transfer window has been really quiet, it’s not just us If we had got Tosin, we would have 2 players who impact the squad rightaway from 1st of July.
-
I would say pretty obvious Thiaw will be done. edit. If rumours are true that only the asking price is problem. Clubs will end up settle for something like 35 million.
-
Haha that must be the first time someone has used those two words in N-O.
-
Kiraly is a legend man. Football needs characters. Wasn’t a world class goalie but seemed a great chap.
-
As a bloody foreigner, that really sounds fking awful. And I don't understand half of it.
-
We cannot offer Williams 250k a week if our best player is on 180k a week. Problem is not can we afford or not, but it doesnt make sense. Everyone should forget these Williams/Olmo etc names that played well in Euros. Our targets have been identified long ago.
-
I would say we are clearly after CB and RW. Striker if Wilson leaves.
-
And fee shouldnt be higher...

The biggest problem for England is that Southgate makes you too cautious. And Kane should not have played, clearly was not in shape. Your centrebacks stay so deep that when you lose the ball there is no counter attack threat, but it also makes hard to press, so automatically you have to drop deep. And of top of that, he didn't get the best out of players. Foden, Bellingham, Kane all moving to occupy same areas of the pitch, and no threat behind. Watkins should have started.

Otto Huuhtanen, who played for Newcastle Academy for few years but already retired earlier this year, aged 24, signed a 1-game-contract and made a return to Finnish Premier League. Apparently he was (unsurprisingly) horrible, and his team lost 0-7. https://www.transfermarkt.com/otto-huuhtanen/profil/spieler/406695

Me too. Maatsen might be good addition though. Losing Luiz is a blow and Onana is overhyped imo.
