It was the left knee last time too, horrific to injure that again. Praying it's not as serious as it looked.

Delighted he got the full 90 minutes, will do him the world of good. Can see him rested midweek and then back in for Arsenal.

AFC Bournemouth 0-0 Newcastle United (21/09/25) | post-match from pg. 33

Can't complain with that - decent enough point given no Schär, Trippier, Bruno, Joelinton or Gordon plus Wissa and Ramsey to come. Play the reserves on Wednesday please. -
Hopefully he brings in a few fresh legs for Bournemouth - Hall, Elanga, Murphy, Willock, Thiaw & Botman all need to start for me (and Woltemade of course).
-
No shame in that, goal difference can be huge at the end of this and only dropping one to Barca isn't the end of the world. Frustrating but should have enough in the remaining games to make the knockouts at a minimum.
-
FIFA will cover his wages while he's out (as long as it's 28 days or more). So there's that.
-
Also boring fact, if he's out for 28 days or more then FIFA will pay his wages for that missing period as compensation.
-
Good stuff, buying that PL ready striker for £55m only for his NT to play him in two games in a week with no pre-season. I'm sure the club are delighted with them.

Newcastle United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers: 13/09/25 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Rather have him fully fit for Barcelona, give him 30 minutes against Wolves instead. -
Apparently left in 2024. Supposedly were some work permit delays and then I guess it didn't make sense coming in towards the end of a chaotic transfer window. Starting now he gets a clean slate and all that.

And our problem now is going to be similar to 2 years ago, where the schedule means that Eddie just won't have many training sessions to work with the new players. It'll be game, rest, prep, game, rest, prep etc. Big shame both Woltemade and Wissa are on international duty now as the next 10 days would have been perfect to help them bed in & understand what is required from them. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see both benched vs. Wolves. -
Am I also misreading? Sounds exactly like he chose Man City.
-
Absolutely unreal fees going for strikers today, how have Chelsea doubled their money?!
-
4 year contract too. Seems about right.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
ToonAbroad replied to a topic in Football
Hopefully a decent sell-on clause too in case Frankfurt manage to develop him in a way that we didn't manage to. -
Straight out to international duty too, we can't bed him in but at least he'll hopefully play a couple of games to build some fitness. Shame the window closes as international duty starts as Woltemade and Wissa will barely even meet their new team-mates before the Wolves game.
-
Hopefully there's a large chunk of the addons dependent on UCL progress or qualification for next season.
-
Tbf, at one point it looked like Wissa would be the Isak replacement, and now he's been demoted to the Wilson replacement essentially. The numbers will be a key factor but can't deny the overall squad will be looking so much more positive than last season.

Would happily let him go with a good sell-on clause and add-ons based on what I've seen so far. Not convinced he makes it in the PL but would be good to protect ourselves if he does florish. Also means someone comes in today for sure. -
Pass. Unless we loan Miley out or sell Willock.
