  1. I like it, this way you just have to refresh the main page and let the mods do all the work in the thread titles...

    Malick Thiaw

Is he Ben Jacobs Italian cousin?
  3. Why do rumours now start with considering? It will go something like this over the next 2 weeks: Considering Approach Bid Bid rejected New bid New bid rejected Spurs bid Signs for Spurs.
  4. Can someone explain how Chelsea agreed a £34.5m fee but then he went to Porto for €15m instead? PSR shenanigans with the Gallagher move?
  5. Not a chance it's 7m, probably closer to 1-2. Good luck to him!
  6. Depends on fee but would definitely be an upgrade on Longstaff for a couple of years to get Miley up to speed. Good character for the squad too.
  7. Could be 107 at this rate and it wouldn't matter, as we seem unable to spend anything!

    Marc Guehi

So they've dropped from £50m to the £40m we were prepared to pay as rumoured yesterday?
  9. In fairness, he said that Newcastle were told he would be willing to join them but they had no idea what the camp had said to Man Utd. Sounds like he's said yes to both clubs.
  10. Leipzig should at least rinse Man Utd for that extra 5m before they allow him to speak to them.
  11. Cos it doesn't sign us two strikers or force Liverpool to meet the asking price. Sure, it will give them more money but I'm sure they already have enough funds to cover the 150 as it is if they wanted to.
  12. Can't sell without the replacements in which is the most important thing - as soon as we agree any deal, prices on targets will shoot through the roof and £150m suddenly won't go so far.
  13. Isak must be confident of being let go if he's not signing an improved deal with a 2026 clause - seeing as this is motivated by money, you'd think he has nothing to lose signing this if he's sticking around anyway.
  14. Given PIF have investments into the club, how comes these transfers are not subject to the UEFA rules that essentially do not count profit towards their PSR calculations? Presumably because they are not majority owners?
  15. That'll flog another hundred shirts.
  16. Also just happy to see the GK resolved so fast after missing out on Trafford. Full focus to the other areas now!
  17. Happy enough with a season loan, time to analyse how he does and a big chunk of the Trafford money remains in the budget for other positions still (hopefully not going unused....). Less depressing than i thought it was yesterday at least.
  18. Do wonder given that Ross Wilson is coming directly from Forest if a period of enforced Gardening Leave will be needed? Hopefully the deal has been negotiated so he can start right away, or at least September 1st.
  19. I know it's a simplistic view, but this feels like one to put energy and time into on August 29th once the critical positions are sorted. Very meh.
  20. Ticks all the boxes of this summer: No bid made Club has no interest to sell Player is happy and not agitating to move Bonus box - player only signed for them a few weeks ago.
  21. Cos every £1m means far more to us than it does them, we can't complete on financials.
  22. I've always liked him - met him and had a nice chat last year, but he's driven me insane in the last couple of days. Just wish he would dial down the excitement and read the room on this one.
  23. Nah. very different landscape now in terms of the staff in place compared to before he came in.
