Nailed on to get injured now in Middlesbrough's game against Hull on December 29th.

Great to see him performing well from RB - defensive positioning etc will need some work but a much needed option against weaker opposition given the injury situation.

Hall with a minor hamstring injury apparently. Defence is getting wiped out.

Botman needs to get back ASAP. Hall, Schär, Thiaw and Livramento will not survive until New Year unscathed without any rotation.

Howe also (thankfully) isn't a petulant 5 year old.

So so good to see him on the pitch today. Was desperate for him to bury that chance late on, though probably should have squared it for Elanga.

Even if he was ready to feature at Brentford it makes no sense to do so because then there's more argument that he goes away on international duty. Having him here for two weeks training will be way more beneficial, so don't expect to see him till after that break now.

Interview with him and Schär was pretty nice, saying how he can speak German to Schär and Thiaw which has helped him settle. And nodding along as Schär said how great Nick's character was made me giggle.

That's not quite true. They pay the wages for the whole period he is injured but you're only eligible to claim if the injury is 28 days or longer. So we'll get 2 months of wages (at a guess) paid back. At 140k rumoured per week, that would still be around 1m though.

Woltemade's build up play is an absolute joy to behold.

Resting Hall makes more sense tbh now that Tino is injured - he's gonna have to play a LOT in the next 2 months so being careful with him makes sense. He'll start Sunday. Hopefully (selfishly) he isn't called up for England as that break before the post-international break schedule will do him the world of good.
