Mad bastard. Love him.

Rescued a 1-1 draw with a penalty against the mighty Hartlepool. After losing to Accrington Stanley. Not really showing anything that suggests that they'll survive next season. Could be a hilarious season ahead.

I can't believe that they think they are big fish in the second division. They will be lucky to stay up, let alone punch into mid table safety. If they absolutely fulfill their potential, they are about the size of Coventry or Sheffield United in terms of fan base, history and size. Absolute cannon fodder that no one cares about.

We have one injury prone PL standard striker. I'm not sure in what way CM could be construed as more of a priority than CF at this time.
-
We've got enough CMs to get us through the start of the season. As it stands, we only have 1 PL standard striker who is, unfortunately, prone to injury. If Willock could prove himself to be a passable forward, I think he'd be far more useful to us, rather than him ending up adding to our CM depth chart.

Based on his car parking. A man in form would be reverse parking like a boss, not handbrake turning it into the Gaffer's slot. -
I thought Almiron has been properly rubbish for us so far, with his decision making and lack of end product, but those highlights showed him do some really nice stuff at the sharp end of the pitch. Would be amazing if it had just clicked for him after a bit of time with Eddie. Hopefully he'll knock it out of the park against proper teams once the season starts.

Dwight Gayle (now playing for Hibernian)

Excellent Champo record, terrible PL record. Not through any lack of effort though. I always get the feeling he was kept as insurance in case we were relegated. Thankfully those days are gone and he can be let go. -

Professional player, did well in the Champo for us. Should have moved on for his own good years ago, but he's made a lot of money here, so understandable by him. Ashley's fault for offering ridiculous contracts to the wrong players, can understand why Gayle stayed. Best of luck to him and I hope he does well back in a division where he's played well. Better than rotting in the reserves at a PL club. -
Absolute throbbers. If they spent less time patting themselves on the back for being the "bestest fans in the whole world, marra" and more time actually staying at the matches then people might view them as something other than an utter joke. They are no one's cup final and no one cares about them, yet they try and cling to being a 'big club', despite them having a fan base, stadium and set of players that suggests otherwise. Small time tramps.

Least worst winger. -

I've been one of his critics, and I really hope he silences me. I really do. A hard working, team playing ASM with an end product would be amazing on one of our wings. -
We spunked £20m on Almiron. You could let people in for free for the money we wasted there. I'd rather have lower prices and a happy crowd, with added goodwill from the fans, rather than a little bit more money for transfers/wages. TV money is where most of the income is at anyway.

That is a Gnarly reference right there. -

I hope he steps on a lego brick barefoot. -

I mean, I was pissed when I wrote that last post saying fuck him, but I didn't resort to calling him a drink driving, school shooting wrong 'un. Maybe next time I'll raise my game and call him a nonce or something. -

Fuck him. As other have said, he's a less talented Anelka with all of the bad attitude, less of the talent and hamstrings made of wet tissue. He's an absolute parasite who wasted our time to get a deal to a 'big' club. Now he's got it, I look forward to him rotting in their reserves. His agent has made a nice little earner though. Main thing is - we can focus our effort on actually signing a decent striker now, rather than trying to engage with this time waster. Well played Eddie for pieing this cunt off. -
There seems to have been a misunderstanding on others parts - not third choice through lack of quality - third choice through lack of availability.
-
Good striker, good lad, legs made of cheese. Should be our third choice striker as a nice problem to have when he's fit. Cannot be relied on to be fit, despite his best efforts. No fault of his own, but that's just the way it is.

If the lad spoke to any neutral about this, they would say that his agent is being a cunt. He must be aware of this, surely, the fact that he hadn't intervened or ditched his agent speaks volumes in itself. As someone else said, he's a less talented Anelka with wet tissue paper for hamstrings. No thanks. Hope the club formally announce that it's off to deter other publicity parasites. -

I'd be extremely hesitant to sign someone who's playing stupid games and doesn't want to specifically come here. Not exactly likely to fit in to the culture Eddie has cultivated here.
