I'm glad you think that I'm everything wrong with our fanbase, simply for thinking that we are doing so well that our ceiling is now 4th, rather than bedwetting my way to being happy with top 10. Were you around before the Ashley years?

I wholeheartedly agree that 7th would be great after last year and the Ashley years, but expectations change with time, and the target for the team right now should be 4th, looking at our strength relative to the other contenders. That is absolutely not to denigrate the efforts of Howe and the players, more a reflection of how far we've come and what we realistically can achieve. No more grim acceptance like we had to do for the Ashley years.

I'm at a 9 for top 7; only 7th at the end of the season would be disappointing as things stand, bearing in mind we're still missing Isak and ASM and have a potentially big Jan window incoming. 4th is the new target for me now, with 5/6th being the new 'acceptable'.

Kane tends to play super deep, so probably more a challenge for Schar if he ends up stepping out like he likes to. Be interesting to see how our defence handles Son and Kane, rather than a 'proper' striker like Toney.

As brilliant as it is to see the demise of that cunt Slippy G, as others have said, it's a shame that we won't get to see his face like a smacked arse when we pump these bellends ourselves. Sob on the Tyne? Cunts.

Is he the finished article? Not by a long way. Is he currently better than Murphy? Yes, by a long way. Will him playing help develop him? Yes. If Howe is in the position where he is considering Murphy, he should use Anderson instead. Very simple.

Still got Isak and ASM to come back and the Jan window to look forward to. I'm an 11 on the 7th ometer, and we really should be pushing for 4th as an outside target.

Been a while since we've seen a performance quite that bad for the club. He's a lost cause. Get rid of him any way we can in January. Not a bad lad, but him being here sends a message that we are willing to accept having dead wood at the club. He has zero utility in attack or defence, and his being here is actually harming Anderson's development.
