saw a few other the years at our European aways years ago (it’s definitely not exclusively an nufc “thing”). I wouldn’t do it myself and question why some of our own seem to appear in tops at their games but it’s not something I’d give more than a passing thought to. Seems to boil their piss mind!

I think tbf we all have our share of arseholes. The Sunderland fans were great after MH17 but like every club especially aways games that are close by with cheap and plentiful tickets will attract knackas and charvas. I have seen Newcastle fans attacked by fellow fans for applauding a celtic goal that was on in the bar before one of our European games, sing questionable stuff of our own and act like twats. Football isn't a sunday school picnic and I wouldn't sing choose to revel in someone's death but equally have probably sang songs that other people would find offensive. Best to ignore the idiots and starve them of the attention they crave.

Which Utd? West Ham, Sheffield, Oxford, Cambridge, Rotherham, Leeds. Sutton United would be a good one for the London folk as Wist 'Am are Essex's team now Spurs are shite

You could technically be one and not the other (you hate Germans but don’t see Asian people as superior to Caucasians) frequently the 2 are codependent as both are based on applying (negative) characteristics to large groups of people you haven’t all met. It’s one tradition the PL seem to have stuck with and as there’s no trains running on Boxing Day it helps massively with away travel. Used to be one of my favourite away days although our recent record (like most things until this season) isn’t great

People will know who it is - and it isn't done for financial gain - in some ways there has been an element of altruism in helping fellow fans out. Even under Ashley popular away games were hard to source tickets for if you didn't have loyalty points.

Loyalty points / access to away tickets is the reason.

I think this is probably aimed not at people who share their ticket with a family member but the very minor number of fans who have 15 plus season tickets in their name. I know of at least 2 and one who has something like 40...

Mrs Cassidy (my mates nana) is a legend though - remember when she interrupted the post match press conference after the Bowyer - Dyer scrap
