Well it may have been late but he certainly showed the boo boys in the end. They deserve it and so does he. There's so many targets now its inevitable we'll get another dose next season.

Folk were debating whether ffp was even a thing until recently and expect us to follow in Man City's footsteps despite all the roadblocks and measures they've put in to prevent another Man City. As if ffp and injuries are just excuses for not being in the top three when its clearly the manager.
-
Its a lot easier to replace the Longstaff's , Almiron's and Dubravaka's of the world than Eddie Howe. I feel its obvious we'd be better off sticking with the manager than a wedge of the players who will be replaced in time anyway, probably already would be were it not for various new rules. Nobody at the club has claimed were the finished article and were still transitioning from a shit team to a mainstay at the top.

Its almost tradition for it to be said at this time of the season for generations even without having had 12-14 injuries in 25man squad. I've a match of the day from boxing day in 1995 where Leeds and Blackburn drew 0-0 and both managers lamented precisely that (both had European football prior but no squad size limitations and presumably not 12 injured players). To rule it out even as a debate isn't reasoned.

Not really. Keepers cant have blinders if the defence isn't being broken through, but they do, and its not like its chance after chance like Given at Wigan or Krul at Bournemouth/Spurs. There's arguably no better time to judge but its certainly not hard.
-
Heck if we beat Liverpool the week before it'll be not even top that.
-
I dont think losing to the mackems should be the key in whether we keep Eddie Howe or not. Sir Bobby lost to them once and Eddie's already lost at home to Cambridge. Souness on the other hand beat them every time he faced them but I wouldn't have minded sacking him on the full-time whistle of the Emre game.

Sheffield United going to do a 90/91 where they didn't win a game until the week before Christmas then became the second most in form team in the country for the rest of the season? No, obviously not. But the new manager bounce/Wilder's definitely improved them.
-
Just seen the games that are on at present -two games! in which Sheffield United are the biggest club!? Used to be so much you'd lose track. shittest boxing day football ever even the game of the day in the championships is a late KO.
-
Used to turn the 12.30 kick-offs off on Saturday and watch soccer Saturday instead, just something about them. We've a tradition of horrible form on boxing day and from memory atmosphere tends to match it. Recalling what many of us would describe as the peak atmosphere era of 93/94 the atmosphere against Man City (might have been New Years Day) was criticised.
-
Are you with Worf Flags? And has that been done already?
-
We were utterly shambolic under Bruce at Norwich in his second game in a manner never witnessed under Rafa. And there were many more Norwich's. Though speaking as someone who experienced Keegan into Dalglish (and dreck games at home to Forest as it happens, weeks after hammering Spurs 7-1) its easy to be objective.

Its a problem having a keeper whether he's at fault or not that concedes so readily. The effect that has on a keeper themselves and people around them drops performance levels. Certainly effects me. Even though of course they wont he's now one of those keepers I expect the other team to score against with pretty much every chance they have and am pleasantly surprised when they don't where I gave Pope every chance of saving us. Its not wise after the fact either. If we recall, a lot of us were talking about how backwards he seemed to have gone years back after his injury.
-
Got a sense that we were almost trying to manage and coast that after going ahead, which is usually the opposite of what we do albeit that's what may have lead to our injury woes. Part just a defeat, they were robbing a point at half-time - but definitely part performances all round being way off. The goals were suddenly shipping being the major problem.
-
I'm a nerd for that s*it in fairness. Its not a virtue
-
White Christmas by Wham, don't know why myself either.
-
Dominant win. Post and bar struck. Despite a massive injury crisis, five points behind Man City and the top4. Just a shame were so shit all round apparently or who knows what we could do.
-
Bound to be a few cross-overs with Shearer and Beardsley from the likes of Clark, Watson, Ameobi, Elliott Swindon 7-1 (Beardsley and Watson), Forest 5-0 (Shearer, Elliott), Leciester 94/95 (Beardsley, Elliott) Chelsea 04 (Shearer and Ameobi) off the top of me heed
-
Almost like were nowhere near as bad as some knee-jerk reactions make out if were not winning comfortable by half-time.
-
They'd have ruined the Keegan and Sir Bobby era's for themselves with the constant whinging and running down of the players and manager with every setback of which there were many, what with that being part of the game and everything.
-
Everyone does to be fair. That's why the other team does it.
-
Without blaming him for any of the multiple goals he's shipping but at least as importantly he's saving dick all. Shots to goals conceded ratio is very unnerving. Nothing to be lost by going Karius at this point, even for Dubs. Miss the halcyon days of expert folk on here slagging Pope off already.
-
Fans can be shit then by the same definition and a lot of our fans support is shitter than any players.
-
Dubs has no confidence and inspires further dwindling confidence. Its going to take a performance/clean sheet to reignite but at what cost?
-
We could have lost another player to injury there and further derailed us (which benefits them) for no punishment. Was well worth a crack. Brilliant officialdom.
