Allways been a big Willock fan, and I think his last full season is being understated by many due to short term memory. If it wasn't for the injuries last season, I'm convinced he would've been an absolute baller by now. However, it seems like a year out has had a massive impact on him. A young and explosive player going through all that trouble can really take its toll. I want to give him more time to fully recover (it has been a while already), but I'm starting to lose hope on him becoming what I thought he would be.

It was really about Højlund and Ugarte coming off. Southampton at home was too tough of a task for them.

@Froggy Maybe in 3 years time Højlund will be able to harm Southampton.

Won't be many players left if it somehow holds.

Currently at 3rd in terms of PL goals for us, just 1 goal behind Wilson now.

If they change the rules, atleast cartel clubs that wants to abuse the rules can't keep getting away with this one. Win win.

With us he looked like a striker stripped of confidence. His form with Burnley that season was under the same manager as previous seasons where he consistenly scored 10+. He was worse under Cooper, while not a coincidence, but it doesn't completely give him a free pass either. Wilson scored 12 in 26 in a the season under Steve Bruce, where he was isolated up top.

He also had a stinker for Burnley that season compared to his other seasons with them. Maybe it was just confidence? It took some time before he started firing at Forest aswell. Just 4 goals in his first 11 months with them. Ironically the hat trick against us really did something, that's where it kicked off for him.

Before the season it was the same gibberish circling about how all the sky six teams + Villa were going to click more than ever before, and it would be near impossible to break into top 6 etc. That's allways the narrative going around before every season, and it never happens.

Why doesn't other clubs start doing these things aswell? The ownership setup doesn't allow for it?

By the way.. They got promoted through loaning a bunch of players who they lost when the promotion was secured. It's a miracle that they have even survived, even taking the spending into account.

We didn't have Bruno or Schar against them. Every team has injuries, most teams has key players out, and that's the point. They were raving about beating us 4-1 when we had 12 or 13 players out last season. The main reason they're complaining now is because they're not used to having more than 2-3 injuries at the same time, while all their opponents usually have more.

How the fuck can the manager of Premier Leagues 1st placed team have that opinion? Anyone with a brain and basic football knowledge knows how stupid this is. No way he actually thinks that.

Maybe if you look purely at defending and not all the other factors, but we kept a bunch of clean sheets that season with Botman - Schar aswell.
