Yeah, if I recall the first time he played there he scored a header within about 5 mins and then never did anything there ever again. Cisse was a brilliant instinctive goalscorer, but wasn't particularly good at anything else.
-
Isn't it based on a rumour in the Sun saying he is on Man U's shortlist of potential candidates? (which you would expect tbh if he is one of the best at his job).
-
Not worried about that personally. Pizza Rob gives away all our targets anyway.

WHY IS THERE NO FUCKING FOOTBALL ON RIGHT NOW? IT'S NOW BEEN OVER 72 HOURS SINCE WE LAST STARTED A GAME AND I'M BORED. GET PLAYING YOU LAZY BASTARDS!
-
Also, with a name like van de Beek I was hoping he has an absolutely massive nose. Disappointed he doesn't.
-
Any particular story with him? Was he injured, or not professional enough, or just not as good as thought?

If there was no FFP, and the Saudis had just come in and just splurged a billion on transfers imediately, I don't think I'd have really enjoyed that*. Easy to say, but there's something about the story of the club growing more gradually that I've really enjoyed. I don't know if I'd have really felt a connection to the club if they'd just used an infinite money cheat. I'm rather enjoying the finite money cheat we're using at the moment. *I'd probably have fucking loved it** ** Actually, genuinely, really don't think I would have

Yeah I like Foster, always seems to have good things to say about us as well. Can definitely see BDB doing media work once he retires, he comes across well. Plus he has a natural gimmick of being huge. When he turns heel it'll be epic.

Tbf all sports interviews basically go: Interviewer: "You've done well at sport recently. How happy are you to have done well at sport?" Sport Person: "Like I say, sport's been going well recently and, you know, I'm very happy. Like I say, it's not been easy and my opponents have also been good at sport, so I've had to work hard, but in the end, you know, I've done good at sport and so I'm very happy. Now, I just need to keep working hard and hopefully that'll help me carry on doing good at sport." Or: Interviewer: "You've not done well at sport recently. How hard has it been not to have done well at sport?" Sport Person: "Yeah, like you say, sport's been hard recently and, you know, I've been playing some tough opponents who have been very good at sport, so, Iike I said, I've not done as well at sport as I would like. But, you know, I've just got to keep working hard, and competing, and, like I say, hopefully soon I'll start doing better at sport again." Would save everyone a lot of time if they just went: Interviewer: So... Sport Person: You know... Interviewer: Yes I do.

Yeah I'd have hated that as a kid.

They'd develop necks like bulls and we'd score from every corner. Perhaps he could let us know. I'm sure we could distract him with a few beers on match days.

Ended up scrolling down a few @Paully tweets after seeing his pre match pic in the Chelsea thread. They weren't showing in date order but noticed this one from September 2020: If Ashworth does go I know who I think should replace him. Seems to have plenty of contacts in the game as well from his photos.

Think Raphinha would be an excellent signing for Man U. Very good player, premier league proven and very good mates with Bruno F apparently. He's be an excellent signing for us too mind.
-
Yep, madness. Crooks is a superstar already.

I'm sure you used to see weakened sides, at least in the early rounds. As you get closer to the final or against tougher opponents teams get stronger. While of course there's good arguments for resting players, and I think Howe will rest a few, is there an argument going strong could actually help in the league: 1. Do we want that mentality of thinking 'oh this competition's not that important we can put that on the backburner.' Winning is a habit, and you want to try and keep the habit going. 2. Momentum - we've had a bit of a bad run, been knocked out of Europe. League's tough this year, many injuries. But we just got a win and that makes things feel a bit better. If we were to go and get a win at Chelsea, suddenly it's 2 wins in a row and we've got a cup semi-final to look forward to. Season's looking exciting again (thinking for the players as well here). If we get beat then it's knocked out of Europe, won against 10 man Fulham, then knocked out of the league cup straight after, having doing so well in it so far. It would be a bit deflating. & for all you can think about whether the League Cup isn't that important relatively, if we were to beat Man C, Man U, Chelsea and (probably) Liverpool to win it... even with some weakened teams along the way, it wouldn't feel like a small prize won. Ultimately, I bet fatigue is a lot easier to manage when you're winning.

Sounds from Hope like they might not want to risk Isak if possible so my guess is start Wilson with Gordon on the bench to come on for him and give both of them part of a match. I'm going to predict: M Dubs Krafu Jammy L Dummett BDB [um... who the fuck is still fit?...] Miley Bruno Longstaff Ritchie Newcatle United Fan Lewis Hall Wilson
-
Yeah, looks like they've taken the basic shape but used a roadkill badger as the symbol. Quite like it tbh.
-
Great news, we'll be able to rest Gordon for the last 5 minutes.
-
Almost bought him in FM20. Agreed a contract and everything but couldn't get a sale through in time to get enough in the transfer kitty. By the time I'd raised some money & went back in for him he now wanted so much in wages I still couldn't afford him. Cunt.

They're using the old 'racists aren't proper football fans - as we're proper football fans we can't be racist' defence.
-
This is the one I particularly like though. Can we have something like this?
-
I mean who's that face on the stadium wall?

AI is wild. Terrifying but wild.

10 11 6 7 8 9 2 3 4 5 1 I've changed my mind. Anything other than the above is illogical hipster bullshit.

I love that everyone is Jason Tindall.
