  1. It’s only logical he trains away from the team based on what Howe said. Can also use a fall back he’s on a different fitness regime to the rest of the squad so can’t partake in same levels. Easy answer to nip things over next 2 days of training. Then it’s a question of will he be involved in the squads for the weekends games.
  2. We need some strong buys, because whilst our initial wave was nearly all hits, there can be an argument our more recent signings could end up being more the opposite. Since start of last summer it’s looking like Kelly, Osula, Ramsdale and Elanga. We need Elanga to be a certified hit, as Kelly is gone after not helping on the pitch, Osula likely to go same way, Ramsdale just a desperation loan and then it’s Elanga. Chasing players like Thiaw doesn’t point to it being hits either.
  3. The gamble will be Ratcliffe / Glazers sell a small % and it’s back to square one. Theres no ramifications for continuous spending if you are a top club. There’s always a way out that’s different to the rest.
  4. I admire Shadow Puppets continuous optimism window will be rescued by end of August because his contact close to the business transfers tells him that It really is going the way of the Ashley windows, it will go from we are targeting a few signings, to we will get one, to Isak staying is a big signing.
  5. I’m sick of clubs signing Chelsea players that have no future there after they’ve paid them a big fee and on a long contract. Signing their youth is fine when pathway is blocked them their spending (like George / Achempong are the buys to make from them), everyone else is a no-go and just validates their stupid policy by getting strong sales as it helps balance out the ones where they can’t get fees back. Fully expect some club next summer to sign Mydruk from them for £40m+
  6. Losing all interest I have in the game this window. Ourselves and Villa, both want to progress and move forward, limited to what we can do and kept away at arms length. Have to be careful in what we do or get punished. Meanwhile, Man City skating along with no punishment still. Man Utd despite owing £100s of millions in transfer payments, are spending £200m-£300m this window to simply bump up that debt even more because they can borrow more against their credit because of their turnover. Transfers that will help them keep their turnover up high and enable them to stay within the parameters of this PSR farce. Any of the big clubs get close to it, they can just sell off countless youth players, most of which they sign at 16 because they have the funds to hoover up the young talent, which again helps them to keep their distance to the rest. Just no hope of clubs ever gatecrashing it long term unless you essentially cheat or the rules are taken away.
  7. For a fanbase that’s so vehemently against state ownership, they sure as hell love to accept and celebrate sales to them. Another reason I can’t stand fanbases of those sides, just a bunch of bendy double standard pricks.
  8. So our self imposed decide or we walk deadline, we’re being cucks and not walked?
  9. Again, why is a thread made based on a nothing tweet by a Chelsea twitter guy. Chelsea are just using our name to draw out an actual bid from elsewhere.
  10. But for me that’s with a caveat that the Newcastle job is the best for him to do that, but he can’t be enjoying it if he goes into another season with minimal backing and turmoil upstairs.
  11. I don’t see him ever walking out on us just as season has started, but if England want Howe in 2026, I’m 99% confident Howe will take it. He must be beyond pissed at this summer, and after winning a cup, what’s there left to do? Clearly hasn’t got the structure here to push on, so may as well lead the country at a home euros.
  12. There’s no way in a million years we sell Isak without at least one striker in Why the fuck would we be happy to end the window with no recognised striker in our ranks all because he wants to explore his options? He’s explored his options, he wants to leave and we’re saying nope, not this summer, it’s next.
  13. Who said they were talking shit about Sesko? Man Utd being interested was as obvious as it can be.
  14. There’s no way we sell Isak and not sign a striker Ornstein chatting pure shit.
  15. Need season to hurry up so they’re brought back down to earth and spend all season saying they need X Y players / manager needs backing and/or time.
  16. If PSG legit came in for Isak, the deal is the easiest to make as everyone is in same room.
  17. PSG sell for £90m. PSG then sign Isak from us for £150m. We then sign Ramos from them for £50m (PSR helping for both). That’s going to be the play now isn’t it?
  18. Two major summer windows, where we sign just one permanent squad player is beyond incompetency (maybe two if Osula is actually considered one this season). We have to sign players, can’t keep going with players that are failing. Saw it last season with Longstaff where they were offering nothing. Now with UCL on top, it’s only going to make things worse. Wish we had some youth you could at least cling onto in breaking out, but we don’t.
  19. McGinn What a mess. Think we have to accept we’re fully locked into Howe ball and just got to ride it. Give him these prem players and deal with the fall out many years down the line, hopefully after at least one prem win
  20. What about Arnaud Kalimuendo looking at his goals and age? Not sure what type of player he is. But 5 years playing in Ligue 1, means he should be an experienced forward that has still some growth in his consistency / output?
  21. Is there no strikers across Europe that are worth the gamble? Just seems so outrageous we can only conjure up like 5 recognised names, many of which the clubs want rid of Is there an Isak in a European League that’s just scored 4 goals but previously hit double digits? Someone that has a unique set it’s worthwhile to gamble because clubs will have no data on how to deal with them? Jackson, Ramos, Watkins, Wissa, Vlahovic. The market can’t be that fucked.
  22. He’s weeks behind rest of the team. Doesn’t feature at all this weekend, he probably goes on bench for first league game but wouldn’t expect him to feature. Then it’s a ‘set back’ ahead of Liverpool game.
  23. Someone create a meme and with it worded. ”Time to pack away the yellow and green scarfs , son”.
  24. Even if we could get someone like Ramos, all these deals are now going to be baked in desperation prices. Wissa has to happen regardless, it’s an actual joke we haven’t gone back in for him. Like what’s the thinking? Sit around long enough Brentford come to us?
  25. They will feel fine, but they will also know the squad isn’t good enough to compete in UCL. It come up short last time round, and few players are a bit older and depth is no better. They will run through brick walls as always, and probably play through pain doing so because there’s no depth where if they stepped out for a game, a negative result will come. Which then just hampers us, as that negative result comes anyway from the player being below their level.
