And also more sides are having one of the full backs invert so there’s bundles of space outwide.

Think if Hall started season as LB, he’d have made his England debut by now considering there’s literally no LBs outside of Chilwell/Shaw Even with many of them, the defensive side was a major weakness at the young age, but it was the attacking play that got them the chance. Hall will be similar, he’s not going to know the defensive side of game till it’s developed from games and learning, but attacking side he’s technically great and in a strong side we’ll see more of that and maximise it rather than needing to be spent defending. This period of season where we’re likely going to need to defend a lot more is going to be huge for his development, and will give him areas he can focus on developing during pre season.

    Joe Willock

Just get him under the knife. Going to end up with players missing pre season, knock on effect for start of next season by not triggering things.
  4. Probably won’t be sold as he’s very limited and can’t see what club will sign him. Guy was out on loan not long ago and couldn’t flog for peanuts. Ability hasn’t suddenly changed.
  5. He should be kept as a low cost back up option. Need one or two of them when spending money on legit stars. Can be the emergency RB and back up RW for games which should be fine for another season.

Still go with this and he’s not confident in his body. Proper Botman vibes. Won’t be surprised if he has some surgery of something soon, as we’re not getting any benefit of him not being out for the season.
  7. We all know now he’s poor and woefully out of form, but just one of those things we’ve got to suck up because of lack of options. Hopefully if all goes well in summer, he’ll hardly be a starter next season.
  8. Shame Wolves didn’t take something off West Ham, but we win the games we should be winning till end of season we have a good chance of top 7.
  9. I’d take Sancho, but would need him to take like a 200% pay cut which won’t happen and Man Utd won’t help us in any deal so it’s a non starter
  10. Really hope we win. Getting one point behind Man Utd and them to lose tomorrow hopefully, would spice things right up and give us the carrot we need.
  11. Like if we didn’t get all the injuries/Tonali ban, Miley would’ve been playing loads for u23s which probably gets forgotten.
  12. Rather Harrison played u23 football. Players need game time and development. Ones who are not here next season, I can understand why they’re on bench, as it’s not blocking game time in younger age group and not seeing the young talent make up the numbers and get no football as a result.
  13. Man Utd are so bad. Quite annoying they haven't finished bottom half yet for all the times they've been crap. Hope we can pump them when we meet.

I disagree on this part, in terms of managing him perfectly. He’s barely featured, and now when we need him, it’s at full speed where he’s clearly not close to that speed because he’s not even played PL2 football this season Gone from not using him at all, to now needing to play 90 mins. At no point there was a middle ground in between. He’s going to make mistakes by end of season, because he’s learning a new position at the highest level. Hopefully fans don’t lose their shit over it as a result, because it’s a learning curve he needs to go through seeing he’s not got it at PL2 this season. Only way to learn is to make mistakes, and that’s got to be in prem games.
  15. Assume it’ll be same as last night with Willock for Anderson and Gordon for Barnes. Then the subs to be Barnes for Isak (Gordon moved centrally) and Anderson for Willock. Maybe if Trippier can make bench, him as sub on for Krafth. Ritchie to replace Hall this time if he can’t make the whole game again.
  16. Bruno’s future will depend on ourselves. He’d have known it’s a project, and seen the investment over last two summers since he came as step forwards, but he will know just as well as we do, that outside the new signings, the squad is so bad and will hold us back. Needs some statement signings or he will express desires to win stuff and I won’t begrudge him that. Got 2 1/2 years of quality out of him. Fully expect one more and him gone in 2025 unless we break back into UCL.
  17. If we don’t get it, hope it doesn’t come down to 8th. Be sickening to see Brighton/Bournemouth or even Wolves in Europe ffs.

Pretty much will be. First real intensity he’s played since like early November, and that was just a half.
  19. Torn between wanting Everton finally getting relegated and fucking off, and them staying up so we can pump them hard next season. The two results against them make me angry.
  20. You can get away with that penalty if it was a shirt pull IMO, but literal headlock, is a slam dunk.
  21. Feel more demoralised after that game then any others. Think because we are even further down to bare bones, and we know Isak etc will get injured soon, and seeing Willock be way off and Dummett actually getting minutes, means top 7 let’s be honest is just not on. Going to be a bit of drag to end of season, but hopefully there’s green shoots for next season with Hall/Anderson getting good minutes, and maybe some appearances for Alex Murphy. Would even say Harrison is worth giving minutes if that’s what Willock is going to offer.

Way off it once again. Going to go with he’s not fully fit and playing injured, because he shouldn’t be this way off.
