  1. Bournemouth scored 2 on Friday against them and the striker was involved in neither. We have the front 3 capable of a couple of goals like theirs. Liverpool are a bit vulnerable. We can get at them.
  2. I want the Luque celebration at the Mackems from him when he gets his first goal.
  3. Assuming we're not their only business venture together?
  4. He'll be on £40k a week surely. Helluva expensive cheerleader like. Krafth and Murphy can cover as third choice RCB & LCB in an emergency.
  5. It's not. It's paying him on merit based on being one of the top strikers in the world for the last 2 years.
  6. It's not really a reward though is it? I bet there's worse strikers than him out and about on similar or higher wages. All it's doing is paying what his talent is worth. Or as close to what we're allowed to pay him anyway.
  7. Should egg them on to be one of the best players in the world in their position if they have anything about them..
  8. I think £180-200k is reasonable. Probably the max we could pay but not too outlandish that we couldn't afford to budge the likes of Tonali close to that when it comes to new contract negotiations. Anything over that and the gap between Isak and rest becomes too mega, plus PSR.
  9. I was thinking originally was the delay on Eales leaving maybe to do with him wanting to stay on and see this through since he seemed a big part of it. Not so sure now.
  10. Yeah, Wissa alternative for me.
  11. I think it'll be a Spurs-style backup when they had Kane, rather than a backup striker who'd just scored 1 in 2 last season. Was nice to dream but I thought that's what we'd get to replace Wilson in the first place.
  12. Well I will. Actively enabled a fella to bleed everything out of the club. "One greedy bastard" is just so lazy. Imagine being one of the best in the world in your field, being able to double your wage for being able to do the same job and not being able to. I bet you'd be a bit pissed as well. He's been an absolute arsehole because he should be honouring his contract, training and playing, but it's hardly being greedy.
  13. May be just coincidence but seems to have been after Ormstein said Isak told us 2 weeks before the season ended he wanted to leave, then he got bombarded with his own quote saying he was saying he was staying. Potentially realisation that they're being fed shit by the agent?
  14. Away end continued to go through the Ashley/Bruce days, "supporting them ever more", so not the greatest judges.
  15. Needs to be absolutely rancid when they have the ball. Boos, whistles, the lot.
  16. Gutted I may not get to witness O'Nien tackling the Premier League.
  17. Think this season might be the start of his Wilson-style downward curve. 17 league goals guaranteed now.
  18. I remember his debut as a sub v Blackpool. Didn't play long and didn't do anything particularly special, but you could just see with the way he moved and ran that he was going to be special. Then he had that first start at Everton and fuck.
  19. He has to stay now surely. All about getting the Wilson replacement and we have the squad we need.
